Look, you have been able to write the rules here. Fine.

I'm not going to play the game on your terms.

Is it "bashing" to say that I believe "Baptism of the dead" is heresy?

Ah, so the Epistles of John are not Scripture, while the Book of Mormon is.

The Epistles of John are scripture.

Your interpretation of the Epistles of John is not.

Did you read the verse?

Do you have any clue what Gnosticism actually was?

Depends. Do you have anything TRUE to say, or just more lies?

Your #40: "Baptism must be done by one having authority. We believe only we have the authority."

Pretty exclusive, isn't it?

My pastor was called by God to be a pastor, "revelation", if you will. He was ordained to the ministry by those in the church having "authority", those called by God to have authority in the church. According to what you believe, does my pastor not have the authority to baptize anyone in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit?

What about weddings? He is licensed to perform weddings. According to what you believe, does he not have "authority" to perform weddings?

Just curious.

Once again:

It depends on what your aim is.

If you just want to spread more lies, it's "bashing," because your agenda is simply to talk down one's faith.

Why do I get the feeling that lies are all you could come up with.

According to my belief, no, he has no authority to baptize.

Weddings are civil ceremonies. Any clergyman can perform a wedding. Heck, you can legally perform your OWN ceremony.

Please understand: I respect your beliefs, and that you consider your pastor to be a "called of God." I'm sure he's a good man, as I'm sure you are.

It's a matter of authority, however.

So, according to your belief, can anyone outside of the LDS church (a Protestant church, for example) be "called of God" and have the "authority" to do anything with respect to church hierarchy or structure? (i.e., pastor, deacon, elder, Sunday School teacher, etc.) Or do you not recognize ANY church other than LDS to be a scriptural church?
