A lot of people on this thread pretending to know something about the doctrines of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but merely repeating tired old distortions. All I can say is this is the church of Jesus Christ in these last days. Please come and see.
do christians watch Christian movies, dramas, plays?
Every Christmas story adaptation is inaccurate in ways from the bible. Every Easter one as well.
Should Christians waste time watching worldly crap TV and movies instead?
Do you not trust they God gives discernment to anyone who asks for it?
Muslims love Jesus! Some Hindus love Jesus! Some (non-Christian) Jews love Jesus!.....
I love my wife, my childern, my mother and father ... and I love Jesus.
However, merely loving Jesus does not make one a Christian.
"Normative Christianity is defined by the Apostles Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the other formulas of the doctrinal consensus. These doctrines are understood by Christians to be rooted directly within the Bible and rightly affirmed by all true believers in all places and throughout all time. As one leading figure in the early church explained, the true faith is recognized and affirmed everywhere, always, and by all. The major divisions within Christian history (Roman Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Protestantism) disagree over important doctrine issues, but all affirm the early church's consensus concerning the nature of Christ and the Trinitarian faith. These are precisely what Mormonism rejects." - re:https://www.christianity.com/church/mormonism-is-not-christianity-11628184.html
A lot of the people here at FR are very knowledgeable about the Mormon religion.
I’m sure that there are many on FR who are familiar with the beliefs of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. But there is no such religious organization founded by the name Mormon. The appellation “Mormon” was meant as a pejorative by those who sought to defame the church since it’s founding. Latter-day Saints, being an affable people, for a long time accepted the term and turned the other cheek. There is no such thing as the “Mormon” Church. Some might get by with the slander that Mormons are not Christian, but saying the people of The Church of Jesus Christ are not Christians is much too funny. So that is a huge tell.
Beloved: Teach and urge these things. Whoever teaches something different and does not agree with the sound words of our Lord Jesus Christ and the religious teaching is conceited, understanding nothing, and has a morbid disposition for arguments and verbal disputes. From these come envy, rivalry, insults, evil suspicions, and mutual friction among people with corrupted minds, who are deprived of the truth, supposing religion to be a means of gain. Indeed, religion with contentment is a great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, just as we shall not be able to take anything out of it. If we have food and clothing, we shall be content with that. Those who want to be rich are falling into temptation and into a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires, which plunge them into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all evils, and some people in their desire for it have strayed from the faith and have pierced themselves with many pains. But you, man of God, avoid all this. Instead, pursue righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness. Compete well for the faith. Lay hold of eternal life, to which you were called when you made the noble confession in the presence of many witnesses.
Somehow you have missed the discussions here on Mormonism.
For example

You’ve missed my point. You know much less than you think you do.
No, but like a typical Mormon, you are saying things that aren’t true.
Why have you avoided the Mormon threads during your decades here?
Now do the Antichrist Pope’s false Jesus
Why? Because I tire quickly of hatred and bigotry. We are all brothers and sisters, created in the image of our Father in Heaven. The second greatest commandment is to love one another.
Read the thread I linked for you, there is much education in it.
Different translations don’t = different versions. It is the same Greek text being translated. Different translations can help give a sharper, deeper understanding of the underlying Greek. It is certainly no acknowledgement of any imperfections in the scriptures.
The vast majority of Christians categorically deny the idea of salvation by faith alone, including ALL Catholics, ALL Orthodox Christians, and roughly HALF all protestants (who don't agree with their own churches doctrines on the matter)
The idea of 'salvation thru faith alone' is a protestant heresy that was first created in the 1600s.
I haven't heard Mormons admit they disagree with that one, but IF they do, its just an example of a stopped clock being right twice a day.
