So the founding fathers were against state religion because it was just too difficult to impose? Or could it be because it would interefere with ones right to choose ones religion AND because it could be used as a tool of repression?. So what GB did in persecuting anyone opposed to the Church of England had nothing to do with their thought on the idea of a state religion?
