The word used by James does not mean the same as our English usage; the term dead works refers to inactive faith not to non-existent faith. Try some other phrasing from your seventh day adventist cult, that one is no-functioning.

In your list, Commandment Number Ten (Covetness) from the Law of Moses is split and is presented as two commandments, nine and ten.
