Well, unfortunately, the Christian and Catholic schools need to hire state certified teachers. They all come out of the teaching colleges, so even the Christian schools have problems. But, the curriculum is the key. I know that these schools often have the teachers sign a statement of faith or even provide a testimony. I taught in a Christian school and remember completing a detailed questionnaire about my beliefs. I later taught in a public school. The larger problem is that there will always be people who send their kids to the indoctrination centers and WE will all suffer for that. We can’t just all go live on an island...or go live in an Amish like village.

I think parents need to know what is happening so they can be wise and discerning. But, we also need to fight evil for the sake of our culture. The wholesome carrot will eventually absorb some of the broth in which it floats. We need to work at having wholesome broth.

HOME SCHOOL!

Plain and simple. If a Christian is true to their faith, and put their faith in God and Only God through Christ, then God will lead them to do right.

I blame pastors who fail to educate the flock as to the importance of home schooling.

Yet as a response to that, you will say,

“Not every person, Christian or not, has the education themselves to properly home school.”

Thus the reason the church needs to join together by bringing in members who are educated in the subject matter of the day, hour, or Month.

Home schooling does NOT need to be difficult, nor cumbersome in doing so. Put faith in GOD, and I promise that He will be faithful to those who are truly faithful in Him. In so doing, he will open the path needed to do so.

As for living on an island, it sure didn’t seem to hurt Tim Tebow. He was well rounded and very smart, and outgoing. I believe the fear put into Christians that they will be sheltering their children from the World and thus do more harm is a lie born in the pit of HELL!

Yet, even so, separating them from the World as they are young when their minds are just a matter of mush is not a bad thing. What are we sheltering them from? Evil, pure and simple.

When their mind is empty is when we should start by filling them with truths, not anti-Christian junk. We force them to go to a heathen indoctriunation center for kindergarten 4 hours a day 5 days a week. Yet we might force them to sit through one hour of Sunday school a week.

Maybe we should do more sheltering and less exposing, then our children will not be turning against the church after 16 years k-College indoctrination..

I don’t disagree with you about sheltering out children. My point is that we inhabit a world with other people. Thus, it is for the benefit of us all that we work to have a culture that values the teachings from the Bible. Certainly, the Ten Commandments, and, of course, the virtues, as well. And, considering our duty as Christians - to go into the world and proclaim Christ (the Great Commission), we cannot live in a bubble and really should not live in one. Those are my thoughts.

No where did I claim we as Christians should be sheltered in a bubble. You bring up a straw dog argument against something that is no where to be found in anything I ever wrote.

I speak of children, not adults. Yet, I would say that we should all not be sending our children to 99% of the universities out there.

As for sharing the Gospel, that is for adults. Now children can share it with children, but only if they are able, and a parent should know that. I do realist that from the mouths of babes adults can be reached. However, not in an environment where they Arte isolated from other Christians and then be attacked, and slandered by the teacher, and then be expelled and maybe even arrested for doing so.

Certain children may be ready to do so. However to expect any child under the age of 14, is a dangerous attitude. This is not 1970, it is 2021, and every child who dares to even say the word God, or Jesus will receive personal attacks from the teacher non the less.

Mind you. Search the Scriptures. Nowhere will you read that GOD saith, or CHRIST saith, “””send your children out into the World to spread the Gospel.”””

AIN’T THERE!

They can do so by the way they are respectful, and honorable. They can do so with other children, but not with adults. Unless you would want them to reprimanded by said adult. Not in today’s World as it current; t exists. Protect them, don’t set them up.

The Holy Trinity does a great job of protecting our children, if we are raising them under His umbrella, from the World until they are ready. Yet they also expect us to do our part by not exposing them to the vile evilness of the World until they are ready.

I really resent the idea that protecting a child from the ruler evilness of the World is keeping them in a Bubble.

Look around, that attitude has turned generation after generation into mirror clones of thew World. Wait till they are ready to change the World, or else the World will change them.

You keep saying the same thing and are so interested in making your point that you apparently missed mine.

I apologize. Yet I agreed we cannot live in a bubble.

Truth is, if we are going to truly reach those who are lost, then we should move to the areas we are abandoning and do our best to bring the Gospel to the lost. It would still be wrong to send one’s child to their schools though.

So I agree, we agree.

I’m fully in favor of homeschooling, but I am also in favor of religious schools. The problem is the curriculums have been tainted and the teachers indoctrinated. But not ALL! Look, we have to acknowledge that there are just too many people out there who are neither cut out for homeschooling or even able to accomplish the task. There are parents who cannot read, know grammar, etc. And, that’s to say nothing of the proficiency levels for the older kids. Incidentally, many of my friends homeschooled their kids.

Well said. The shear hypocrisy of some of the men here, the double standards and gross misogynistic attitudes towards woman is shocking. They complain about the downfall of society but don’t realize they are the ones contributing to it. The entitlement mentality towards their lust destroys marriages, breaking families apart then these dopes blame women for the divorce that follows. The men that participate in that thread show their emotionally stunted selves as little more than narcissistic bullies.
