Martin Luther was a disgusting sinner.
And he also knew Jesus Christ paid the penalty for ALL 100% of his sins.
Martin Luther was saved and he is now with Christ in heaven.
How many perverts can you pack into one photo op???
I hope this clarifies the bankruptcy of papal infallibility.
PADRE PIO SAID THAT MARTIN LUTHER IS IN HELL AND CHRISTIANS WHO FOLLOW HIM WILL MEET THE SAME END
Those are actually pretty good examples of people who have given false visions and prophecies..
Col2:
18Let no one keep defrauding you of your prize by delighting in self-abasement and the worship of the angels, taking his stand on visions he has seen, inflated without cause by his fleshly mind,
Yet, you’re the one claiming the archheretic is in Heaven with Jesus Christ.
What vision did you have?
But that picking and choosing is just what is done as an alternative to fallibly judging which magisterial level certain teachings fall under (since there is no infallible list of all such) and thus what level of assent is required, and what they means in detail. Thus the response to an exasperated poster on a RC forum dealing with this issue:
rrr1213: Boy. No disrespect intended…and I mean that honestly…but my head spins trying to comprehend the various classifications of Catholic teaching and the respective degrees of certainty attached thereto. I suspect that the average Catholic doesn’t trouble himself with such questions, but as to those who do (and us poor Protestants who are trying to get a grip on Catholic teaching) it sounds like an almost impossible task.
itsjustdave1988: Well, the question pertained to theology. The Catholic faithful don’t need to know any of this stuff to be faithful Catholics, so you are confusing theology with praxis. Praxis is quite simple for faithful Catholics: give your religious assent of intellect and will to Catholic doctrine, whether it is infallible or not. That’s what our Dogmatic Constitution on the Church demands, that’s what the Code of Canon Laws demand, and that is what the Catechism itself demands. Heb 13:17 teaches us to “obey your leaders and submit to them.” This submission is not contingent upon inerrancy or infallibility. - https://forums.catholic.com/t/catechism-infallible/55096/31
And to which the list i provided is pertinent, of broad papal exhortations to follow the pastors as docile sheep.
BTW-The mere fact that some in the Church are questioning the Pope's stance on certain issues against Biblical teaching raise hope that we will soon have more Catholics joining our Protestant ranks. Let's just hope they go to a good Bible believing Protestant church. Regrettably there aren't many of those left any longer.
Well, I am not a "Protestant" since that term is too broad, and the doctrine I am to defend is that of the NT church, and if Caths would want to conform to what we see in the only wholly God-inspired and faithful substantive record of what the NT church. understood, then they would leave Rome to seek fellowship with those who seek to conform to that church.
The oldest human created religion and the oldest lie. You will be as gods.
Helpful hint: you aren't.
I
Must
Resist!!
Well; if you remember your training...
I think you’ve covered all the bases.
Id say hes not doing a very good job!
Neither the laity nor the clergy were meant to trudge along like sheep, following a false shepherd off the cliff. God gives us minds and hearts, and we know with both of them that Bergoglio is wrong. Not only wrong but possibly intentionally so, and thus evil as well as wrong.
Bergoglio has been relying on a mistaken understanding of the Papacy, which is that the Popes personal whims become magisterium. They dont, they have in be in accordance with the magisterium thorough history. His is not. It is our responsibility, and particularly that of the bishops, to correct him or to reject him.
Surely by now; with all the schooling we FReepers have given you over the years; that you should know that you don't need a vision to figure this out.
It's plain in the book Rome has given the world.
No vision.
Just the Holy Scripture promises of the Redeemer to unworthy sinners.
John 5:24
Sinners like Martin Luther.
Sinners like me.
does a bear poop in the woods?
“God gives us minds and hearts”
Then read the Word of GOD and realize just how opposite of truth and Scripture that the roman church has become.
When this generation is dead the next generation takes over they will take your pope’s words and make them as tradition and will use the the words that you use today, “it’s always been this way”.
I heard that in my military career when I would go back to the same post and things had changed and I would ask how long has this been this way and the same answer was “it’s always been this way” and I would say nope it wasn’t like that back when.
The only unchanging thing is the Word of GOD.
