Exodus 6
6 Then the Lord said to Moses, Now you will see what I will do to Pharaoh: Because of my mighty hand he will let them go; because of my mighty hand he will drive them out of his country.
2 God also said to Moses, I am the Lord. 3 I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob as God Almighty,[a] but by my name the Lord[b] I did not make myself fully known to them. 4 I also established my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, where they resided as foreigners. 5 Moreover, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians are enslaving, and I have remembered my covenant.
6 Therefore, say to the Israelites: I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. I will free you from being slaves to them, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with mighty acts of judgment. 7 I will take you as my own people, and I will be your God. Then you will know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the yoke of the Egyptians. 8 And I will bring you to the land I swore with uplifted hand to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob. I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.
9 Moses reported this to the Israelites, but they did not listen to him because of their discouragement and harsh labor.
10 Then the Lord said to Moses, 11 Go, tell Pharaoh king of Egypt to let the Israelites go out of his country.
12 But Moses said to the Lord, If the Israelites will not listen to me, why would Pharaoh listen to me, since I speak with faltering lips[c]?
New International Version (NIV)(End of Scripture Passage)
Moses, when experiencing discouragement, falls back onto his old excuses.

Ever since I was a child, I have always failed the school-sponsored hearing tests. Year after year, from kindergarten onward, I would dread the yearly hearing screenings, as I knew where it would lead. The school would demand that my parents take me into Roxbury to "The Horace Mann School For The Deaf" for additional screenings. The doctors at the school would admit that, yes, there was some hearing impairment, but wasn't significant enough to warrant hearing aids or even special arrangements. This went on all through Grades K-6. Finally, after years of compliance and frustration, my parents just started to ignore the schoolmarms and asked ME how I felt about it. "I can hear just fine," I said, "I'm a musician and am in the middle of producing my first opera (in which I wrote and arranged all the music, made the costumes, and organized my High School friends to perform, LOL), fer cryin' out loud!"
I finally decided that I would hear what I wanted to hear, and ignore the rest.
As I have gotten older, however, it's gotten worse. There really WAS something wrong with my hearing but it didn't go full bore until recently. I guess 50 years of motorcycles and rock'n'roll has had its effect. Anyway, now that everybody is wearing masks, I realize how much lip-reading I had been doing. And, of course, masks tend to muffle speech. So, the Quarantine has been very difficult for me in more ways than one.
Now, it seems that Moses had a kind of speech impediment that he felt was holding him back from ministry. He speaks of having "Faltering Lips". Was he a stutterer? Or perhaps would he become tongue-tied when nervous or afraid? Remember, as a baby, before he was even weaned, Moses was set adrift in a basket. Then he was raised in a pagan court where he had a secret identity as a slave. Then he sees his own people abused, commits murder, is exiled, and now has come back to confront the very gods of Egypt.
That would make me stutter too.
Come and Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem, For Our FRiends in Need, For Persecuted Believers, and For Our Beloved Nation.

I share your issues with hearing. I am a musician and suddenly went deaf in one ear, 3 years ago. After wrangling with insurance, I got a cochlear implant. And last year, I participated in a study of that implant to make the software better.
As for stuttering, I think of The King’s Speech, where the stuttering King George VI gave a marvelous message to his people over radio at the start of World War II.
When we are weak, God is strong.
