Vanity, I guess: Is it "wrong" for an American citizen to exercise their 1st Amendment freedom, and refuse to partake of Christianity?

That’s just it. Your ‘christian doctrine’ is not espoused by every citizen, therefore it does not rule over all.

Yes peter, that was the principle!

I trust you understand the short definition of that theory?

Short definition ... Biden!

I do not believe that there is a christian that could give me a straight answer of their own, just like Flo cannot go one minute without talking about GEICO insurance.

I bet you don’t know what the other word for rebellion is.

If we let any more of these mohammmedan dogs in our country, we will have a theocracy!

Also, should you choose, ask your pastor in response to their declaration of “taking the country back for gawd”, ‘What do you intend to do with those American citizens that refuse you? What about their 1st Amendment rights?”

Those who view an individual’s religious right as something not of their business.

Can you provide evidence, measureable evidence?

Quoting a book, yes i said that, gives no evidence. No more than the writings of Edgar Cayce, H.P.Lovecraft.

“What do you intend to do with those American citizens that refuse you? What about their 1st Amendment rights?”
______________________________________

As long as America’s 1st and 2nd Amendments stand, pastors must also adhere to them. For Jesus did admonish those in his day to follow the laws.

Now, they were also told, to not have fear, for when needed, the Spirit would aide them. Those Christians such as myself must continually stand guard to remind others that we do not operate under a Theocracy.

That’s why voting is so important. It is, and has always been a 2nd line of defense: For God is the First.

The problem is so many who claim to be Christians are either posers entirely or lukewarm in their belief.

Yes. Islam is a true Death Threat to freedom in any form.

I have an adopted Muslim sister. Very long story. Short version: My father’s 2nd wife did not want any of us girls receiving any of her personal property after she died. My father, being in love, adopted this friend of the family as a grown woman. It was a shock.

At any rate, I remind my father that as a Muslim she is a direct threat to anyone not of the Muslim belief system. My view has never changed. I was especially upset that after 911 when she and her husband asked my father about Jesus, he **did not talk to them about Jesus**. It was months before I could even think of my father without pain.

He was under the delusion I was upset because my mother’s personal items went to this woman. That was never a bone of contention. I couldn’t even comprehend him thinking that of me.

It’s beyond me how even as a Catholic he could not speak of Jesus to his adopted daughter. I was raised Catholic and was spiritually starving. When I attended a Baptist service, I heard the message and knew, KNEW it was a message of the love of Jesus. And I accepted Jesus as my Savior. I fail Him daily and am so grateful for His forgiveness!!

It’s beyond me how even as a Catholic he could not speak of Jesus to his adopted daughter.

Back to the Pastor question... many, many, of today’s pastors are truly not Christians. They pose as such because they feel a need to make their version of life acceptable or make the version of life someone they love acceptable.

I am constantly reminding people they DO NOT WANT to have TEACHER lead prayer in school. They have no clue as to what they as asking for.... a satanist would instruct their child to pray to satan, a Hindu to pray for their gods, atheist to instruct children there is no God?

So many pitfalls, yes?

This country is full of flawed humans. It was created by flawed humans. It was *inspired* by the Perfect and Eternal Lord God!

what did I say that made you think that I had said it did? At least as the government is concerned? God, however does not answer to the government, now does He?

To put it in simple terms, everybody is entitled to go to Hell in his own way, according to the government. This is as it should be. God, however may think a little differently. This violates no one’s rights. Of course, Christian doctrine may be wrong. But we’ll all find out someday, unless the atheists are right, and when we’re dead, we’re dead.

In that case, none of it matters at all.

"Now, since you see no validity in what i ask, go back to the tv."

I think you have confused "validity" with "clarity".

I will certainly do my best to avoid you in the future.

I’ve been reminded that there is no such thing as a stupid question.

Saying that, you have demonstrated the fat that there does exist such a thing, as a stupid answer!

Sorry folks, the window for the firestorm I created is now over 24 hours old, so take a breath, cool your heels, and relax, it is a beautiful sunny Monday morning, and i am sure there are those that need to concentrate on other things.
Good day.

Never has been “wrong”. We do not force people to have a religion.

Wrong in the sense of a violation of law or ethics, no. Wrong in the eyes of the Lord, yes. His people will pray for you, though, not behead you.

What business of yours is it what someone believes??

This is America, Sunshine, where our founding fathers knew that people need to keep out of each other’s business.

If you can’t do that, then you’re a liberal and an enemy of America and her freedoms and liberties.
................................
Well and truly said and every word of it. I view most of the Bill of Rights as protection of the basic right to be left ALONE, i.e., the recognition as you’ve stated “that people need to keep out of each other’s business.”

It is an important protection for Christianity and will become more important as our country as a whole becomes less Christian.
..................................................
And that is precisely why the Democrat/Socialist/Communist Left is looking to abolish it along with the Second Amendment, and indeed the entire Bill of Rights.

Exactly. The Bill of Rights is the bill of individual rights.

I want people to have a religious grounding, but that doesn’t mean I get to ask them about it and butt into their business.
