The destruction of Israel is not the goal anymore in the forthcoming Ezekiel 38 war, just the fight over oil and gas, with Turkey and Iran having their own goals as well, Iran wanting to take over the Muslim holy sites from Saudi Arabia and Turkey wanting to restore the Ottoman Empire.

True enough.
But our good Lord has His own plans, which MAY include some "discomfort." Also, "destroy" means obliterating my soul. Death will happen to me but for eternity I plan on doing my best to be with our good Lord.
The good news for today: We are one day closer to the return of our Lord and seeing our departed loved ones who died as believers.
