Phony “survey”.
We have been in the Last Days ever since Jesus went back to Heaven.
The real question to ask would be like “How many years from now until Jesus returns?”
Or “Of the following time frames - in which do you think Jesus will return: a) 0 to 5, b) 6 to 10, c) 10 to 15, d) more than 15
What is presented here is BS of the order put out by CNN and the MSM.
Yep, that is what I said - more concerned about MY world ending that THE world ending.
No argument. But the simple truth is that if you are ready, you are ready, whenever God “catastrophically intervenes.” I know both passages you cite. I have read them over many times over many years, in English and in the original. And, yes, we will all be caught off guard, those who are ready, pleasantly so, and those who are not, unpleasantly.
LOL
I try not to lie about a darned thing.
I beat me body and head up so much that i spent a ridiculous amount of time on FR at 51 because i’m too damaged to do much else most of the time besides work :)
It is what it is.
God Bless everyone on this holy night
“What about the desecration of the temple as prophesied in the future tense?”
Well, the temple had to be destroyed in the future when it was mentioned.
There will be no future temple consecrated by God. There may be a building built, but it will not be a temple ordained and consecrated by God, it would be a counterfeit. The veil was ripped in half; temple worship is over.
AMEN!!!
You’re right. No one can say when the gig is up. All these things must pass, and they keep passing. Only fools think that THIS TIME these things mean the party’s over.
When it is over, it will be quite obvious, and too late for those who dally.
That correlation hit me for the first time.
It all seemed like code for globalism, the evil of these ultra-elite folks, enabling the evil beast of the CCP - all using China like a whore, the enslavement of 1.5B billion people to produce their worldly goods.
Others are quite right though - you can easily read into it too much.
...but it represents something in our future and I don’t think the world has seen anything like modern China. Mao, Stalin, Hitler, etc. never had the technical capability the CCP now has. They rule with a grip, through technology, those other dictators could only dream of.
That is a very good point. I do believe we are living in the end times. However, I also know that the time of our departure is always near. Life is a vapor. I have encouraged our church folks to look back to how our predecessors trusted in God through times of famine, persecution, and pestilence. God is faithful.
That said, I am a pastor. I believe Christs return is imminent. I believed that before coronavirus.
I remember a preacher a long time ago used to say "live each day as though Jesus is coming back this very afternoon. Be ready for Him!"
Lately, there are plenty of days when I think He might be coming back just after sunrise.;-)
Thanks for the information.
My husband and I visited Damascus. WHAT a place. It became such a big deal in the Middle East because it had and still has TWO fresh water wells for the city. Most settled places over there grew around SINGLE wells but Damascus has TWO. That's a big deal over there. Not everyone is a wealthy as the Saudis.
Damascus was FABULOUS. There is SO much to see. It's huge and most cosmopolitan.
Who is going to "level" it?
IIrc Hal Lindsey is retired. His show doesn’t seem to be on TBN any more. Too bad in light of the CV.
I long for His appearing. He must have a reason for us to still be laboring in this age. Here we are so we are to labor for His sake.
Philippians 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
The building that will be built was what I was referencing.
2 Thessalonians 2:4
Daniel 11:36
Matthew 24:15-16
And yes Hallelujah! The veil was torn in half for good!
“Who is going to “level” it?”
Good question. Most Prophecy scholars could point to Israel, but that might not be the case. It could be Russia, Turkey, the USA, or even the Syrian regime themselves?
It’s always been up for debate as to who does it.
Isaiah 17:1-2
The burden against Damascus. Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap. The cities of Aroer are forsaken; They will be for flocks Which lie down, and no one will make them afraid.
We visited Israel too and I loved it. The Israels include MANY Arabs, both Muslim and Catholic. One group calls themselves Palestinian Catholics.....all Arabs but Roman Catholic. It's an odd mixture to say the least.
The Israelis, Jew, Muslims and Catholics all love their country and work together, as I saw it and as our tour leader said, very well. They have to. No one group can do it alone.
Matt. 24:15 - 16 — If you are in Iowa, where would you flee?
No, not one word about a temple being built in the future. The abomination of desolation was Roman armies surrounding Jerusalem, prior to exterminating it, as Jesus said.
A Roman army can never surround and destroy Jerusalem again. And why would any army surround Jerusalem. The Israelis would vaporize it.
2 Thes 2:4 - 2 “take his seat in the temple of God.” You can’t find a scripture where it says a temple of God will be built again. It would completely contradict what Jesus accomplished. That verse referred to the one standing in Jerusalem at the time.
In North America and Northwest Europe, the revival of the Gospel through the Reformation led to societies that were, if imperfectly, based on the Bible and much of the population were familiar with Scripture. The effects of this revival led to societies that adhered at least publicly to the Ten Commandments and Jesus' commandment to love the Lord and one's neighbor. It led to prosperity as well, what was called the Protestant work ethic. The financial, and eventually military, strength of the United States, Great Britain and its white colonies, the Netherlands, the Scandinavian nations, and, to some extent, Germany was the result of that ethic. Missionaries from these nations spread the Gospel to the ends of the earth, starting with William Carey. In the United States, millions of Catholics, Mormons, and Jews, though not Protestant, adopted that work ethic with enthusiasm. Resultantly, they prospered as much as their Protestant countrymen.
As the North American and Northwest European societies (Australia and New Zealand as well) gradually abandoned the Biblical perspective, starting first with the Unitarian movement and Deism in the late 1700s, evolutionary theory and "higher criticism" in the mainline churches in the 1800s; Fabian Socialism, Marxism both classical and Gramscian, the Frankfurt School, the sexual revolution, the normalizing of sexual perversion, and the drug culture in the 1900s pounded the peoples and governments of the West.
I have heard too many prophets who have predicted days now well in the past as being the end of the world. The world will come to an end, as Scripture states, but no man knows the time and the place.
We’re all coming to an end one way or another.
For the life of me, I will never understand how God could destroy Sodom and Gammorah and yet we are still here. Sodom and Gammorah had nothing on us. I feel like we have found depraved and sick ways that they could only dream of. Yet we are not smited yet. We have it coming.
I just want to be with Jesus. I am ready anytime. Jesus Christ, my Savior, can take me any time he wants. I don't need to eat another meal or watch anothe show. If I die from Covid-19, I won't complain. Christ can have me any time he wants me. I am beyond ready to go. No, I won't do anything to accelerate the proces. I can keep myself entertained down here for years yet, but I nothing so compelling keeping me earthbound that I would not vastly prefer to be in heaven with the lord God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I am ready whenever he is.
