Olsteen is a “name it and claim it” apostate.
He is using Kanye.
So far, so good for Kanye now.
He has not yet said enough to upset the left.
Let’s see if he takes a true Biblicacal stand on something like marriage.
Could be the other way around.
That picture of Osteen is downright awful

I agree with you.
Something about this whole thing unsettles me.
No doubt, there will be people who are genuinely saved, and that will be a good thing.
And maybe, just maybe, this can be the seeds of a real revival.
Either way, he REALLY needs our prayers.
Kanye and his group were at the Harris County lock up on Friday.
I find the stories of how Joel Osteen somehow became a pastor interesting. What an unlikely thing to happen!
And the stories of how the church acquired the former Compaq Center to become their sanctuary? Very interesting...
Story after story of where all of the people, skill and money came from in those critical moments for all of that to happen, along with Joel giving constant praise, credit and glory to God for it, is also very interesting,
And, of course, Osteen takes everyone back to the beginning, his dad’s giving his life to Christ, followed by all of the small and large steps in between his father’s conversion to Christ years ago to what his feed store church has become today...
...so this event could take place and reach so many...

Looks like God directed steps to me and ALL of it is fascinatingly interesting!
His Hand is there every step, as near as I can tell, and I appreciate Joel Osteen for sharing this with me. He’s good at that.
Interesting how God works... and through whom He works... and then who gets upset about it and why! Just like in the Bible!
So, it’s all exactly like what Mother Mary said and ust do what He tells you, then keep calm and press on ...
And then be amazed by how He works!

The #2 priority here is that they’ll all be Trump voters.
Yep. We need to rejoice. I’m not a Catholic but if Kanye had his event at St. Patrick’s Cathedral I would be praising God just as loudly.
My #2 priority would be that their faith would be manifested in virtuous family and community lives.
In particular, I believe Mr. West will help many younger people to find Christ.
This is wonderful because they, (the young), are being bombarded, (at school, college, movies, music, exc..), by the forces of darkness, who are trying to get them to reject Christ and lose their souls.

Right! I finally figured that out. That’s the point of everything!
Osteen’ s value is not teaching the Bible and he’s probably one of the first to tell you that.
And I agree. I look for that education elsewhere. Seems like we’re living in a world of specialists these days, whether it’s for doctors, home repairs or coming to Jesus.
To me, Osteen’s value, and perhaps his real purpose for being here, are his “praising God” examples and talking about how and why to start that conversation.
And for me now even more, I like his examples for maintaining that conversation with Him about all things all the time.
Baby steps ... I’m taking ‘em.
Let the critics laugh and throw whatever they’ve got, but perhaps they know not what they do.
Mat 13:47-50:
“Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, but threw the bad away. This is how it will be at the end of the age. Kanye and Osteen are just throwing the net. God will pick out his own. That’s his business.
