Yes. That is the key point in this discussion. While not condemning the false messages of the apparitions, Rome has given a green light to believe them. Hence, Rome is allowing it's members to be subject to the deceptive message of the Brown Scapular.
Are the novelties and inventions of Protestantism relevant? I ask because the list is a long one, everything from the "secret rapture" to "prayer cloths".
The rapture can be identified in Scripture. However, it is not required to believe in the rapture for salvation. Now, compare that to the false message of the Scapular which promises the person wearing the idol the avoidance of the eternal fire.
Prayer cloths are inventions of late night televangelists and are to be rejected.
However, it is noted Roman Catholicism has a relic, or I believe is required to have a relic, in each of its churches. Some have attributed cures or miracles to the relics. A lot of this goes back to incorrect RC theology that departed believers have more sway with God than believers here on earth. Again this position contradicts Scripture.
In you purposed ignorance you used the term ‘secret rapture’. I can assure you, Catholic, that when the Rapture happens, you will know it was no secret for you shall be in that after moment be living in a world suddenly accumulating the wrath of GOD. My warning to you is, don’t accept the Mark of the Beast which will soon after the Rapture departure be commanded to you. Just don’t take that mark.

I had a close friend who would watch any horror movie, regardless of t\depicted violence, but he would not watch The Exorcist. He told me it was based on a real case from Missouri, IMS.

I’ve always wondered just how Biblical the movie was. In the NT we see the demons obey quickly when commanded by Christ. There were some cases where the disciples struggled with this; but other cases where they were very successful.
