Borders of Nations, Part III

He created all the nations throughout the whole earth. He decided beforehand when they should rise and fall, and he determined their boundaries. His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. —Acts 17:26-27

He builds up nations, and he destroys them. He expands nations, and he abandons them. —Job 12:23

For he has strengthened the bars of your gates and blessed your children within your walls. —Psalm 147:13

What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord, whose people he has chosen as his inheritance. —Psalm 33:12

For the nations that refuse to serve you will be destroyed. —Isaiah 60:12

Godliness makes a nation great, but sin is a disgrace to any people. —Proverbs 14:34

Father God,

We thank You for our President's trip to inspect the border wall,
and for the funding granted by the Pentagon. We pray for continued progress on this wall construction, that illegal crossings will diminish so much that even opponents in Congress can no longer credibly oppose funding the entire wall.

As we pray, we envision a border from the coast of California all the way to the Gulf of Mexico, tall and sturdy and patrolled by American agents, enveloped in Your golden light and mighty Power from one end to the other, keeping drugs, crime and human trafficking away.

We pray for our Border Patrol and all I.C.E. agents, who are today's war heroes in this undeclared invasion. Wake the people, Lord, and establish our borders once again so that honoring the rule of law may once again be our American standard. We are not a nation without fidelity to Your Truth. Without You at the center of our nation—“In God We Trust”—the United States cannot survive.

How ruefully we lament the legalized sins that are piercing our borders and defenses. Forgive them, Father: the God-deniers, the abortionists, the politically correct, the sexually confused, the fascists, the dividers, the racists, the propagandists, the widely-published liars; for they know not what they do.

We ask Your strength and healing today for our President, his administration, his incoming National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien, as well as our President's closest advisors, family, and campaign staff, that Truth and Your purposes for them will remain clear and steadfast in their hearts, words, decisions and works. Bring renewal and Godly conviction to every public official, that their efforts may be turned towards Your Plan for our nation.

Dear Lord, I echo the prayers of Albion and others on this forum. We ask for protection, wisdom and strength for those employed in the security of this nation and for our dearly beloved President and his family.

Lord, we petition Thee not just for a physical boundary, that we may be safer and not descend into chaos, sickness, and poverty. But Lord, we also petition Thee to build a spiritual boundary, that as a nation we would no longer abide with the devil.

Lead us as a nation to repent and to seek Your blessings. We ask these things in Jesus’ name.

Heavenly Father: Protect those who build the wall, repair the wall, defend the wall, and let us hold them up to You to send an army of Your heavenly warrior angels to defend the borders, our walls, and ourselves from those who would come here unlawfully, and invade us.

As in the rebuilding of Jerusalem by the Jews returning from captivity in the Old Testament, let us defend the builders and repairers and our borders, with prayers to you and physical weaponry and determination as You see fit.
