PRIOR LAKE, Minn.— Members of the congregation at a Latter-day Saint church in Minnesota may have noticed a familiar, but out-of-place face on the front of their church programs on Sunday.
An image of Obi-Wan Kenobi, as portrayed by Ewan McGregor in the "Star Wars" prequels, was used in a collage depicting images of Jesus Christ.

Every Mormon I have personally known has been a nice person.
Their beliefs are way out there. tho.
I just finished reading “A Study In Scarlet”. It has been maybe 30 years since I first read it. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was no fan of Joseph Smith.

Mormons believe humans can become like Jesus Christ...so not surprising they would believe a mythical character like obi-wan is a model....shows how common cultural viewpoints are folded into a basic religions tenets...matt 7:22 and 23.

Adoption by God is necessary, and it’s NOT automatic...

That was before His death, burial and resurrection. Just as we all took on Adam’s nature when he sinned, we all became alive in Jesus when He was resurrected. We just have to recognize and accept it.
