The analogies that Martin makes - all three of them - are apples to oranges comparisons.
They all fail because nothing is in context.
He pretends it matters not why folks reject LGBT beliefs about themselves and how that rejection is not the same context as the Samaritan’s rejection of Yeshua. His case is super silly simple - “rejection” no matter the reason is wrong. You might as well say don’t reject Satan either.
He ignores that “acceptance” of Yeshua is not complete without rejection of our sins and a dedication to repentance - change. Thus he ignores the mission of the institutional church and its leaders to guide the poor sinner into that rejection of sin and operation of repentance as demonstrations to themselves of a true acceptance of Yeshua.
He totally ignores, as welcoming to the sinner as Yeshua was, he did not flinch from calling the sinner to repent (change). He makes the “Progressive” mess of Christianity by implying such a call is a denial of Love toward anyone.
If it were a denial of Love, then EVERYTHING in the Bible, in either the old or new testament, every preachment therein for people to get the Life with G-d set right, is one big denial of Love. NOTHING could be more stupid.
As long as they are practicing and accepted by your denomination they are part of it. If you dont like it you have 2 choices. Clean house or leave. Otherwise by your membership and monetary support you own them. We had to face similar in the past 10-15 years. Many congregations left the denomination to stand for Truth. It takes guts and integrity to do the right thing.
I’ll take door number one.
And by the way, you don’t make the rules for the Church.
its not making rules for the church. it goes for any organization you belong to. If you support it with your attendance and money you own what is going on. sorry if you dont like it it is nonetheless true.
Ergo, if you pay your taxes in the US, you support abortion on demand for all nine months of pregnancy. Because clearly, if you support "any organization" with your money, "you own what is going on" (whatever that means).
my contribution to the government is not voluntary. Anyones to the Roman church is. If you support them with your attendance and dollars you support what they are doing.
Then you no longer a Catholic (universal) church.
