The difference is Limeys want this as a part of national judicial system. Imagine a ‘judge’ deciding which body part gets amputated appointed and paid by the government.
This is I don’t work in Manhattan anymore but I hope to see one on staten island some day, as do about 300,000 other Italian Americans who couldn’t give a FLYING #### about their fake “hate campaign” fear.

If you read the article it states that anything the sharia council decides must be in accordance with UK lawSo there would not be any amputations.
It wkll be the women who will be the losers. Any non muslim who thinks muslom women have ewual rights before sharia law like they do before UK law or USA law is not paying attention.
It is either UK laws or sharia.
So this means Halakhah is alright too . . . right?
Jewish Beth Din courts have been operating in the UK for centuries. The Sharia courts have similar powers. Neither of them trump British Law.
