John 14:6 Jesus said to Thomas, I am the Way the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father except through me.

That's not a very popular thing to say today or a very popular thing to believe.

Oprah said .... one of the biggest mistakes humans make is to believe there is only one way to God. Actually there are many diverse paths to what you call God...(other similar assertions are described....) One Rabbi called this assertion as nothing other than spiritual racism. In our age of pluralism, this question, is there only one way to God, is the most toxic question you could ask.

On the night of his arrest, Jesus addressed this very question with his disciples. .... quotation is in John 14:6. (The apostle John was present when Jesus said these words....).

this statement by Jesus answers the 3 greatest questions of the human heart:

1. How can I be saved...Jesus said "I am the way." 2. How can I be sure....Jesus said, "I am the truth." 3. How can I be satisfied..Jesus said, "I am the life."

These words have caused more trouble in our day and in Jesus' day than just about anything Jesus ever said.

Many of you are thinking, how can you say your way is better than my way or any other way such as through Buddha, or Confucious or such....how could you be so bigoted and narrowminded.....There is only one reason we can say this- because Jesus said it and He is God.

(Much more in the sermon in the video.,..)

A late night meditation and post.

Dr. Jeremiah goes back to Adam and Eve and how Adam walked with God but then ate of the forbidden fruit....as the head of the human race, they lost all of their privileges with God just like that....Their communion was broken and the Bible says they his from God. They were evicted from the Garden and they began the process of dying. The condition that all of us are in before Christ is exactly like that. Because we are all descendants of Adam, we have inherited all of the problems of his/their rebellion against God.

We are separated from God, we cannot know Him.

Before we know Christ, we know that...we sense that something’s wrong, something’s not right.....There’s this emptiness in our lives....

That’s the reason Jesus Christ came, to fix all that was broken between man and God.....He came to be the one who would restore our fellowship with God. He came to be the TRUTH about God in His very Being. And He came to give us LIFE, not just in heaven by and by, but in life in the here and now. Life that’s better than anything you will find anywhere.

Jesus came to remove that sin barrier between you and me and God. He came to re-establish THE WAY between us and God. Now we believe that Jesus is the teacher of THE WAY. We accept the fact that He is the guide along the way. But that’s not what He is saying here....but that’s not what He is saying here.,..He is saying He is THE way. He is saying I am the way to restore communion with God.

I met Jesus many years ago but pretty much ignored Him.      now I thank him frequently for everything he brings into my life, because everything in my life is because of Him.

In the early church, they didn’t call the followers of Jesus Christians, they called them “people of THE WAY.” Because they had a unique message - they had THE WAY to God through their Savior Jesus.

Jesus is also the TRUTH recovered.

John 1:14...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and TRUTH....

Almighty God poured Himself into a human body...He was the TRUTH about God in a body,.,.,Someone came to Jesus and said, “Shoe us the Father.” Jesus said, “If you have seen ME you have seen THE FATHER.”

So Jesus Christ is not only the WAY to God, He alone is the TRUTH about God.

Truth is very exclusive. If it isn’t, it can’t be true...

If I say 2 multiplied by 2 = 4, that is a very dogmatic, intolerant statement.

Truth cannot accept error.

Jesus is the TRUTH. Anything that is not Jesus cannot be the TRUTH. He is exclusively THE TRUTH (about God).....

.......Those on the side of TRUTH come to Jesus....despite what difficulties it may mean for you (possible loss of friends, family, job if you choose to follow Jesus)....but if you want to be where the truth is, be with Jesus, He is the truth.

if he put his faith in Jesus Christ He did (Yes, old testament [people had to put their faith in the coming ‘Redeemer’ which was Christ). Eve exhibited faith in God after being expelled from Garden- so it is very likely she and Adam were saved- In Genesis, We’re told Adam and Eve- after eating the forbidden fruit, met the LORD in the garden- many believe this was Christ the LORD- who made atonement for them by sacrificing an animal to cover their sin

Do we know for sure? No- but it’s highly likely they did go to heaven

Somehow, I think/believe that an infinite, benevolent God would had made some provision for the souls of people who died before Jesus’s time, or who never heard of Him. I don’t know what it is, or how it works, but in Charity, I suspect He has some way to hold out Hope of salvation to all those others.

Wonderful to know. God bless you!

I suspect many have witnessed Jesus but not yet accepted Him.       and, I can say with certanity, if you call for Jesus in your life, he will appear.

He is Life regained.

Jesus is the absolute opposite of death. Jesus is LIFE.

John 1:4 says “In Him was LIFE and the LIFE was the light of men...”

John 11:25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the LIFE. He who believes in ME though he may die, He shall live.”

Jesus Christ is the One who came to free us from death. Not talking about physical death...if the Lord doesn’t come we will all die (physically)...He’s not talking about the separation of the soul from the body He is talking about the separation of the soul from God.

If we come to God, we will come alive to the places we were dead to Him. The Bible teaches that everyone who is dead before God (and that includes everyone before they believe in Jesus Christ) comes alive when they believe in/accepts Jesus Christ. And in John 10:10 Jesus says that He came that they (all who accept Him) may have LIFE and have it more abundantly.

Ephesians 2:5..Even when we were dead in trespasses, He made us ALIVE together with Christ.

Jesus Christ did not come into the world to invigorate our old sin nature....He came that we might know God and come alive spiritually.

Ravi Zaccharias said, I have traveled the world and have found nothing and no one else who satisfies my longings...Jesus is MY way, MY truth, and MY life.

Dr. Jeremiah then talks about speaking to some atheists/agnostics and that he was asked this question, “Do you really believe there is only one way to God?” Jeremiah said, “Sir, it doesn’t really matter what I believe. It really doesn’t make any difference what I think...What really makes a difference is what God says...what Jesus says. I don’t want you to go away from here tonight, thinking about what David Jeremiah believes....I want you to go way thinking about what God says in His Word and He says I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, and no one comes to the Father but by me.

And this assertion that there is only ONE WAY to God is held throughout the Bible...why else would all the disciples go to their early deaths (except for John) believing in Jesus as the one and only way to God.....

Yes He will. Not because of anything we have done but all because of what He has done dying on that cruel cross and rising from the dead. How awesome is that!

how ironic is it that leftist satanists, demanding eternal socialist/communist freebees, reject Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the cross?

This essentially covers it however the pre-Christian Jews who believed in a coming Messiah are also (imo) saved) because they could not believe in the person of Jesus before Jesus was alive on Earth.

Secondly, there will be a lot of “Christians” who will be disappointed when the souls of Christ’s followers are called up to be with him and *they* were left out. The Good Shepherd knows His sheep and His sheep hear His voice. IMO, if a person has not developed a personal relationship with Christ where He is Lord of their life but merely went through the motions of “playing church” or “trying to be good”, I could not guarantee their salvation no matter how generous or saintly their behavior seems to the outside world.

Many of those will be the ones claiming Christ is too narrow-minded or bigoted. Yet even applying those terms to the Holy and perfect God displays a mindset that thinks their own value system is superior to God’s. We are to be trusting as children before God as He knows what we don’t and our ways are not His ways. It is a sin of pride to think we know better.
