There is No Shadow of Turning With You,
You Are The Glory, You Are The Truth
You Alone are the One True God Over All

We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According to Your Will and Promise.
We Pray For the People and Leaders of Israel,
that They Will Look to You for the Protection
and Prosperity of their Nation.
We Also Pray For Revival in our own Beloved USA.



We Pray For The Leaders of Our Nation,
May They Be Inspired and Led By You,
And Please Guide Them in All Things.

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Years ago, I was sitting in a beauty salon, my hair "cooking" under a slather of hair dye, and more-or-less chained to the chair. The two female hairdressers were chatting away about a new book that was so awesome that they were positively ELATED reading.

"Why, it confirmed EVERYTHING I already believed! It was Sooooo SPIRITUAL!

"Absolutely!" said the other hairdresser. "It confirms EVERYTHING we wiccans have been saying all along!"

YIKES! Was I hearing this correctly? Was I getting my hair done by WITCHES? I had suspected that the hairdressers were MAYBE Lesbians, but since a lot of people in that profession profess to be gay, I didn't question it. On the other hand, what was this book that they were talking about as if it were Holy Scripture? So I asked.

Well, it was "The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown. I hadn't read it yet, so I went into the book with no prejudices or favoritism.

The book, of course was a book of fiction. Disguised as a Mystery-Thriller, the book posited that the Bible was canonized by Constantine in the fourth century, that Mary Magdalen had married Jesus, moved to France with Him, had children, who later became the Cathars, the Templars, and the Illuminati, that Leonardo was a secret member of this society, and that he left clues in his paintings for future generations. That was the gist of it.

However, as an avid reader of the Bible and student of History, I found many glaring errors that I KNEW weren't true. The biggest one was when a learned professor gives a speech in which he blithely states something about the copies of the Gospels found among the Dead Sea Scrolls! (Yeah...really).

I have seen the Scrolls up close and personal, and have been to Qumran. There was NO New Testament material among the Dead Sea Scrolls, because it hadn't been written yet!

The Dead Sea Scrolls consist of fragments of MANY Old Testament Books, a nearly intact Book of Isaiah, the Rules of the Community, The Final Battle Between The Sons of Darkness and The Sons of Light, and some other devotional literature, but NO GOSPELS.

Anyway, there were other speculations masquerading as "History" but were expressed by the professor in a didactic manner, so, to someone who knows neither Scripture or History, it came across as TRUTH. Perhaps the idea that Mary gets transformed into a kind of "earth mother" married to a Divine Being, have demigod children that still exists as a bloodline to this day, was very appealing to wiccans. Whatever.

In any case, Mary had a much more wonderful role in History. She, a Woman, was the one who stood at the foot of the Cross with Mary The Mother of Jesus. She also was the first person to see the Risen Christ (not counting the Roman Soldiers who must have fled screaming!), and the first person to "preach the Gospel". Now THAT is awesome!

The book was FICTION. Then again, so were The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Narnia, etc. But, AT LEAST they were well-written!

Now, the History Channel has begun to promulgate this "theory" by hosting program after program about the TEMPLARS, the Cathars, The Illuminati, and secret codes in Medieval Architecture. I liked the channel better when the showed old grainy B&W WW2 Documentaries. Oh well.

I see this verse as giving us the power in The Holy Spirit for personal sins that are against ourselves. We have all had horrible things done to us that are not”apologized for”. That perfectly reasonable anger we feel turns into resentment, and eventually to obsessive hatred, and changes us in very bad ways. Both Jesus and St. Stephen gave us wonderful examples of how we can forgive the unforgivable and achieve peace within our hearts.

This is what both of them did..WHILE they were being EXECUTED, mind you.

Both of them released the offenders to the Father for forgiveness. By letting go of the offense and giving the offender to God, it is, in fact, forgiveness.

Releasing the offender to God and letting HIM decide how He is going to handle it, relieves one of the bitter root which can grow and fester, becoming a nasty parasite that can rob a person of peace for the rest of one’s life.

It can generate good questions. How was the Bible canonized? Did Jesus marry? And an honest inquiry will lead to the Truth.
