[Catholic Caucus] US priest speaks up for Church's gay 'parish pariahs'
Daily Mail ^ | August 23, 2018 | AFP

"What has changed is the (Bergolio's) tone, approach and language," he (Martin) said.

"His five most famous words may be 'Who am I to judge?,' which were first said in response to a question about gay priests, and were later expanded to include all gays.

"Francis is the first pope, for that matter, to even use the word 'gay'."

Martin continued: "I would not categorise him as a 'progressive' but simply as a compassionate man.

"Pope Francis is trying to reach out to those on the margins both in society -- refugees, migrants, the poor -- and in the Church.

"And in the Church there is no one more marginalised than the LGBT person."

Like hell, padre. For 2% of the population, they're all we hear about.

Faggots marginalize themselves. They wrap their whole identity around a sin that cries out to Heaven for vengeance.

And within the Church, they’re calling the shots.

Make no mistake. What now permeates the Church is not holy.

Martin says he wants the Church to be more Pastoral?

Then why does he never talk about Courage, the one organization in the Catholic Church which takes a truly saving, pastoral approach to people who are dealing with Same-Sex Attraction: one centering on purity of heart, and the merciful ministry of Jesus the Healer.

Courage. And here's another one: has Fr. Martin ever given a sermon on the subject of "chastity"?

The Church can't embrace unrepentant sin and expect the blessings of Heaven. It's time for a housecleaning.

If someone has same-sex attractions and is struggling to live a chaste life I can have compassion for him and offer him welcome. But let us please stop the pretense that this is what the LGBT movement is all about. They are practicing sodomites who insist that society and the Church accept their abominations.

So don’t look for any purge of gays from the Priesthood to be happening anytime soon.

Too bad this Pope is incapable of reaching out to traditional Americans... or people attempting to be ethical moral human beings.

At this point, I don’t have any question any more that homosexuals control the Catholic Church from top (Pope) to bottom (Convents).

What this guy is saying is that while this is true, they’ve had to be dishonest about it.

They want to do this out in the open, and they can’t.

Welcome to the Catholic Church! In what Parish do you assist at Mass? What is your pastor’s name?

"And within the Church, they’re calling the shots".

And therein lies the problem. The scum has formed at the top and they are filtering out the good men who would make excellent, chaste holy priests and only accepting the like-minded perverts. Many of the good men who do manage to get in probably leave in disgust. I hate what's happened to our church. I don't care how many bishops. cardinals, etc, they have to get rid of. Pruning the dead wood will lead to a stronger priesthood.

This will be why in the future the western Church will have to accept stable, decent, and heterosexual men who are in traditional marriage for the priesthood.

I don't either. We started off with eleven, because one of the twelve was a traitor. If that's where we have to go, then let it be done.

No one? How about the boys whose lives were destroyed by pedo priests?
