“This Pope is actually more interested in saving the planet than saving souls. He’s turned the Vatican into, almost, an annex of Greenpeace and the Sierra Club. He’s also been a great advocate for La Raza style open borders and, of course, he’s a strong voice for the global left in terms of promoting socialism.”

Pope Francis is very much a product of the Argentina that brought Eva and Juan Peron to control some seventy years ago, and was the end result of what was a rapidly modernizing and advanced country adopting the tenets of progressive thinking, the same progressive thinking that was brought to the United States from the time of Woodrow Wilson, through Franklin Delano Roosevelt, and extended and expanded through Kennedy/Johnson, Carter, Clinton, and Obama, with a steady assist from Nixon/Ford, Bush I and Bush II, all of whom did little if anything to roll back the drift to progressivism.

It was only during the years of Ronaldus Magnus that the tide was stemmed even a little bit. And even that has been once more eroded.

Now, with The Donald in charge and making waves all over the world in his wake, the forces to REVERSE this drift to progressivism have been consolidated and stand at least an even chance of being more widely adopted.

Donald Trump was building a bridge. (And what about Melania!)

And he will build a wall with beautiful golden door. We will have legal immigration. Not a country full of illegal immigrants eroding our labor markets and harboring criminal gangs. That’s what the Pope wants (only he’s not smart enough to see it). We love the friendliness of Arabs and the work ethic of Hispanics. And we can distinguish the evil ones from the decent ones, and the moochers from the hard-working. The Pope doesn’t want to see or deal with the problem of evil or the problem of laziness.

I have read the Bible. It describes greed as laziness as well as excessive acquisitiveness. I have never heard this Pope condemn laziness, or distinguish proper acquisitiveness from excessive.

He is in the tradition of St. Francis of Assisi (hence his name), and this is part of the tradition of the Catholic Church. But, he has made war on the traditions associated with St. Thomas Aquinas and St. Augustine, and embodied in his two immediate predecessors, of practical holiness and zeal for the truth.

Ecstatic poverty is not the only way of holiness, and I will never criticize those who take that path. Those who make eunuchs of themselves for the glory of God can serve us, who are in but not of this world, as we go about our business. And we, out of our produce, can support them.

In my opinion the Pope is an enemy of the United States because he promotes illegal and Islamic immigration, despises free market economics, and espouses one world globalist rule.

The Catholic hierarchy is rotten from the top down. I don't think there has been this much corruption and meddling in non-religious matters for secular power in the church since the middle ages
