This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 1 JOHN 5:14
Father, our God, we are here in the name of Jesus to worship You. I know You don't want us to repeat our prayers over and over like the Pharisees, but every time I pray, I am awed by the privilege You have granted us to come boldly before Your throne and cannot help but thank You...again and again.
Today, Father, we place our Nation and her people in Your protective care. We ask that our people would dwell in the secret place of the Most High, abiding under the shadow of the Almighty. We say of You, "You are our refuge and our fortress." As our coins say, "In God we trust."
We trust You to deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence. Oh, God, You shall cover us with Your feathers, and under Your wings we shall take refuge; Your truth shall be our shield and buckler. Under Your care, we shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday.
A thousand may fall at our side, And ten thousand at our right hand; but it shall not come near us. Only with our eyes shall we look, and see the reward of the wicked.
Because we have made the LORD, who is our refuge, even the Most High, our dwelling place, No evil shall befall us, nor shall any plague come near our dwelling;
Give Your angels charge over us, to keep us in all our ways. In their hands they shall bear us up, lest we dash our foot against a stone.
We shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, the young lion and the serpent we shall trample underfoot.

We pray for a manifestation on the United States of America of Your promise, " For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea."
