The writer steps over the wire of "works" himself on a few occassions in this article such as using "genuine" faith as a qualifier for salvation.. a 'type' of faith is certainly implied....which would not only require a 'measure' to qualify but creates a degree of superority of ones faith over anothers faith.... but we know that even a faith the size of a musterseed can move mountains... besides the foot of the cross is level for all. Furthermore it's all 'IN' Christ alone...he either did it all for us or nothing at all.....including the faith that we have.... At best we can cry out as another..."I believe..Lord help my unbelief".

If we use any 'measurement' of faith as 'a qualifier for salvation' then Peter and many others would have failed the test...and we'd all be undone.

If we measure anything it needs to be the price he paid 'in full.'

....”Who Will Be Raptured?..No one”...

I would imagine then that you will be pleasantly surprised if it does occur.

Many in the faith tend to disagree on matters such as the rapture...all sides have substantial arguements supporting where they stand on this issue... argued well I’ll add.

I’m not a huge prepper outside of perhaps a week without power and the like. But if I thought I’d be going through even a portion of the tribulation period I’d be spending a whole lot of money hoarding everything needed to survive that time.

Sometimes common sense comes into the equation......Jesus himself, and others went “Up” ....so it’s not a far cry to say he would do so for us before that time....

....”I’ve been assured by a few FR Roman Catholics that God will strike down a heretical Pope.”.....

If that were actually true than how would they account for the broad range of popes in their history who certainly were that and a whole lot more, who seemed to fair well over a long period of time?

...”Trusting the promises of God in inspired Scripture is never arrogance. ....it is based on His merit, imputed at the cross, through His blood that paid the penalty for our sins, and on no merit of our own.”.....

You’re correct but I think sometimes people tend to lean too hard on their own understanding, especially when it would ‘conflict’ with their churches teachings or to question them....esepcially when they have veered from the Centrality Of Jesus Christ by adhereing to many “other’” requirements in their faith....

It is all, frankly, about the man Christ Jesus...and when he ceases to be central to a churches teachings with all kinds of other practices and adornments and such ...then the simplicity of faith alone in him is deminished and the truth is blurred .....which the ‘rapture” teaching would likely escape some as well.

Don't be pointing out the sandy soil of the RCC foundation. They are The One True Church according to . . . . well just take their word for it.

I think possibly this refers to the great event of Jesus and those dressed in white who will gather and be seen by all on earth..(they mourn)... heaven opens and he begins his great procession..which will likely go on for hours and hours....an amazing spectacular event...seen by everyone on earth.

further here ‘angels are sent to gather’ the elits from one end ‘OF HEAVEN’ to the other (from the four winds)....doesn’t mention those on earth.

Well there are true believers within all denominations of Christianity as well as the weeds that grow to choke them...although I understand many in the catholic church ‘say’ they are the one true church...but clearly their current pope disagrees with that.... and he’s supposedly the vicar of Christ....so they have a problem.

It appears to me that the approach is to look back and pretty up the historical timeline by declaring this or that particularly bloody or nutty individual to be an anti-Pope. Hindsight is 20/20.

I suppose you could call it a rapture, but it does not teach people that any one will be caught up with out dying. This is all explained in 1 Cor 15, most of the chapter in opposition to the one short scripture 1 Thess 4:17

No need to argue any such propositions. These passages are describing the same events. Flesh and blood will not inherit the kingdom of God. (1 Cor 15:50) But the resurrected will (flesh and bone -- see Luke 24:39)

Those who are alive and remain will be resurrected. You can argue fine points whether these physically die in the process of resurrection. All believers will put off this sinful flesh and will be fully redeemed. (Ephesians 1:14)

Yes, that’s quite possible..some things don’t really change regardless of the facts. We live in a world now where deception is the norm.

Who Will Be Raptured?

No one.

Thank you for speaking the truth, sounds like...

Matthew 3:3 For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the Lord; Make His paths straight.’”

rap·ture

noun

1. a feeling of intense pleasure or joy. "Leonora listened with rapture"
synonyms: ecstasy, bliss, exaltation, euphoria, elation, joy, enchantment, delight, happiness, pleasure "she gazed at him in rapture"

2. NORTH AMERICAN
(according to some millenarian teaching) the transporting of believers to heaven at the Second Coming of Christ.

verb

NORTH AMERICAN
1. (according to some millenarian teaching) transport (a believer) from earth to heaven at the Second Coming of Christ.

Online Etymology Dictionary. c. 1600, "act of carrying off," from Middle French rapture, from Medieval Latin raptura "seizure, rape, kidnapping," from Latin raptus "a carrying off, abduction, snatching away; rape" (see rapt). ... Sense of "spiritual ecstasy, state of mental transport" first recorded c. 1600 (raptures).

NORTH AMERICAN lazy Christians

The falling away comes when people arn't raptured...

Enoch
Book 1: Watchers
Chapter 1

1 The words of the blessing of Enoch, wherewith he blessed the elect and righteous, who will be 2 living in the day of tribulation, when all the wicked and godless are to be removed. And he took up his parable and said -Enoch a righteous man, whose eyes were opened by God, saw the vision of the Holy One in the heavens, which the angels showed me, and from them I heard everything, and from them I understood as I saw, but not for this generation, but for a remote one which is for to come.

Matthew 13:36 Then Yeshua sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field.”

37 He answered and said to them: “He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. 38 The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. 39 The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels.

40 Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. 41 The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, 42 and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

Revelation 2
20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. 21 And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

24 “Now to you I say, and to the rest in Thyatira, as many as do not have this doctrine, who have not known the depths of Satan, as they say, I will put on you no other burden. 25 But hold fast what you have till I come. 26 And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end, to him I will give power over the nations

I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation

And he who overcomes, and keeps My works until the end

Until the end...

We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

Right, which means we will not sleep in death but will be taken at the instant death hits us.

So have you changed your mind on the rapture?
"1 Thess. 4:16,17 says you are wrong." 1 Cor 15.
"36 You fool, that which you sow is not quickened, except it die:"
"The entire chapter of 1 Cor 15 contradicts the rapture theory."

Because now you seem to be repeating what I have been saying.

You can argue fine points whether these physically die in the process of resurrection.

Well yes,
That is basically the only argument there is because Jesus said that he will raise the believers at the last day.

John 6 25-59
For this is the will of my Father – for everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him to have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

You can call it a rapture or what ever you like, it is the same thing.

1 15:52
Now I say this, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed,In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

It does not say we will not die, it just says we will not sleep in death as those who were in the first resurrection did.

So many Christians today are so proud of themselves they believe they will be the first resurrected, but not so, we will be in the second part or the final resurrection if we are half the believers as we think we are.

I believe the last day is the same as the last trump but that is an other argument.
