Happy St. Pattys Day
via Islam Is Irelands Fastest Growing Religion. h/t TROP
The Republic of Ireland may be intimately associated with the Roman Catholic Church, but the fastest-growing faith on the emerald isle is Islam at such a rapid rate that Muslims are projected to replace Protestantism as the second-most popular religion by the year 2043.
Irelands Central Statistics Office reported that between 1991 and 2011, the percentage of Irish residents who were Muslim jumped from 0.1 percent to 1 percent (equating to about 49,000 people). By 2020, Irelands Islamic population will more than double to at least 100,000. The increase is attributed to both immigration and population growth. The second fastest-growing faith in Ireland is Orthodox Christianity, largely due to immigration from Eastern Europe doubling in just five years between 2006 and 2011 to more than 45,000 people.
As their numbers climb, Muslims in Ireland have embarked on projects to build more mosques, including a new $50 million complex in north Dublin that will commence construction in 2014 and become the countrys largest mosque. Illume Magazine reported that the new mosque, at the Clongriffin Centre, will be large enough to hold more than 3,000 people and feature two minarets, a prayer hall, a cultural center, offices, bookshop, a library, a mortuary, a 600-seat events center, school and even a fitness center and apartments. Muslims in Ireland are also free to wear the veil and hijab, unlike in France.
Cant say you didnt see this coming.
When an immune system fails, the most virulent strains will grow the fastest...
I’m glad I traveled to Europe a lot while it was still Europe and not the middle east of the west.
This won’t end well.

Mohammed is not only one of the most popular baby names in UK, it is #34 in the US while Christian is #42.
So the snakes finally made it in.
This is one of those, ‘what in the world was someone thinking?’ situations. The Irish have infamously fought amongst themselves over religion for a thousand years. And some brilliant social scientist comes along and decides to add islam, which preaches superiority, to the mix? How long until Ireland explodes again, this time a three-way bloodbath?
Well this tends to happen when you keep importing Muzzies into the country. The “media” here keeps talking about Mexicans becoming the majority here and they’re so proud about it. Well, when you continue importing the entire Mexican population to the U.S. to live off the backs of the U.S. taxpayers, they will tend to become the majority when they do nothing but stay home all day having babies. It’s not magic.
Erin go muzzie.
Believe in fairy tale nonsense, die by it.
Facts and science trumps pious idiocy.
The Irish raised bloody hell with their Christian English neighbors for decades, and yet the Irish lie down like lambs in front of their Muslim overlords. Time to sober up!
Liberals are immuno-suppressant.
Another country being sold out
So much for indigenous cultures, the Left supports Communist Imperialism and Islamic Imperialism. Their crusade has always been an anti-Western agenda.
The immune system of Ireland’s Catholicism is not strong enough to ward off Islam. Of course, Islam is the equivalent of sin and there would be no confessions if the Irish did not sin.
I guess imperialism is just okey dokey with the left as long as it’s anti-western. They think the prosperity of the west is just some accident of geography. No, it’s cultural. We prosper because we think it’s the right thing to do. Islam is from the desert and everything it touches will turn into a desert.
I’ve noticed a trend, as has everyone else not associated with islime. Have noticed another trend in parallel. Rodenberry may have been a prophet.
All the jokes the Scots and Southern English said about the Irish making more sense now.
Well, they abandoned their one true religion - which they have deemed beneath their dignity - so what else can they expect? You can’t live in a vacuum. As I always quote Rhett Butler: I will watch with interest.
