Cardinal Vincent Nichols has congratulated Francis on the fourth anniversary of his election
Cardinal Vincent Nichols, the Archbishop of Westminster, has sent a letter of congratulations to Pope Francis on the fourth anniversary of his election as Pope, thanking him for his steadfast defence of Church teaching.
Cardinal Nichols, president of the bishops conference, said he was writing on behalf of Catholics in England and Wales.
The cardinal wrote: We thank God that the Holy Spirit guided the Church in the process of your election and that the same Holy Spirit guides and supports you day by day. We thank God for the richness of the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, which are the hallmarks of your ministry: joy and peace, patience and kindness, faithfulness, wisdom and mercy.

>Defence of Church Teaching
“The Church” teaches that a satanic cult like islam is a valid religion that should be accepted?
No thank you.
“steadfast defense of church teaching?”
funny, but that must have been in an alternate universe (perhaps the 666th dimension?)
And what church’s teaching would that be?
I think he is referring to last weeks Unitarian-Episcopalian church teaching.
Precisely what I would NOT be thanking HH for.
ha!
good one
(well, the Unitarian-Universalists are at least pretty honest about what they do or,more often, what they do not believe..,,.... the Episcopal church has mostly gone off the rails tho....alas....)
The stench is growing stronger daily. The sycophantic sodomites clustered around the Pope, putting out stomach-turning drivel like this...
By trampling on the sovereignty of the Knights of Malta, Bergoglio has set up the Vatican City State to have its sovereignty abridged or ended. There are jurists and politicians in Italy and the EU eager to use various scandals as a pretext for eliminating the political influence of the Vatican.
The groveling is rather distasteful.
Cardinal Nichols seems to have a droll sense of humor.
