Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

The Book of Psalms

(Psalm 113)

Psalm 113

1 Praise the Lord.[a]

Praise the Lord, you his servants;
    praise the name of the Lord.
2 Let the name of the Lord be praised,
    both now and forevermore.
3 From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets,
    the name of the Lord is to be praised.

4 The Lord is exalted over all the nations,
    his glory above the heavens.
5 Who is like the Lord our God,
    the One who sits enthroned on high,
6 who stoops down to look
    on the heavens and the earth?

7 He raises the poor from the dust
    and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
8 he seats them with princes,
    with the princes of his people.
9 He settles the childless woman in her home
    as a happy mother of children.

Praise the Lord.

Our Father in Heaven,
Magnified and Sanctified is Your Most Holy Name!
From The Rising of the Sun,
To its Setting,
You Name Shall be Praised.
For You Alone Are Worthy;
You Alone Are LORD;
You Alone Are Holy,
You Alone Are The One True God of The Universe!
We Come into Your Presence With Singing
And Into Your Courts With Praise,
For Your Are Eternal,
Omnipotent,
Omniscient,
Omnipresent,
Just And Righteous,
Our Creator,
and The Creator of All That Is!

1. Praise the LORD!

Praise, O servants of the LORD,
Praise the name of the LORD!
2. Blessed be the name of the LORD
From this time forth and forevermore!
3. From the rising of the sun to its going down
The LORD’s name is to be praised.

Almighty Father,
We Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem,
according to Your Will and Your Word.
We Pray for and End to the evils of hatred,
Slavery, Piracy, Antisemitism, Idolatry, and Slander,
wherever it is today.
We Pray for Jews and Christians
Languishing in Bondage in Hostile Lands.

4. The LORD is high above all nations,
His glory above the heavens.
5. Who is like the LORD our God,
Who dwells on high,
6. Who humbles Himself to behold
The things that are in the heavens and in the earth?

LORD, We Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem,
According To Your Will and Promise.

We Pray for Our Own Leaders in the USA,
That They will be Enlightened As To Your Will.
We pray for an END to Lies,
Slander, Blood Libel, Propaganda,
And Antisemitism against Your Beloved.

7. He raises the poor out of the dust,
And lifts the needy out of the ash heap,
8. That He may seat him with princes—
With the princes of His people.
9. He grants the barren woman a home,
Like a joyful mother of children.

Praise the LORD!

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem

Today we have another "Hallelujah Chorus" to meditate upon, Psalm 113. It is the Second Candle in our virtual Menorah of Praise, and the first song of the Hallel, sung in the Passover Service. It is a Song of unabashed and rapturous Praise!
