FULL TITLE: 'I love all my moms': Hundreds of polygamists and their families led by the 'Sister Wives' descend on the steps of Utah Capitol to demand the legal right to plural marriage
The family on the TV reality show 'Sister Wives' and several hundred other protesters in polygamous relationships and their supporters said Friday they won't stop fighting for the legal right to plural marriage.
Holding signs that read, 'I love all my moms,' and 'If we were gay, we'd be OK,' the group rallied in the rain on the steps of the Utah Capitol on Friday afternoon.
The demonstration comes a month after the U.S. Supreme Court declined to hear a case from Kody Brown and his four wives on the TLC show 'Sister Wives' challenging Utah's bigamy law.

and the FLDS is not up there with them? Oh what a shock? They don't care, they will break the law anyway.
At least Trump is deporting the Muslims, so they can't join in.
If they convert to Catholicism, maybe Pope Francis will allow polygamy. Why not? He said you’re a coward/rigid to follow the Ten Commandments, and the first one he’s let go is “Thou shalt not commit adultery”...
This doesn’t bother me as long as they’re not getting tons of welfare for it. Then it DOES bother me.
Haven’t seen any mormon terrorists in a while.
Even with a show on broadway bashing them every night for years.
Poop Francis is getting on my last nerve.
They do have a point.
So why shouldn't these consenting adults be allowed to be married? If you can change 'one man, one woman' to 'any two people,' I don't see why the number can't be changed as well.
We all knew this was coming.
Ah, man.
This thing at least is more biblical (if not explicitly Christian normed) than the “gay marriage” crowd. Oh what a curious figurative Pandora’s box has been opened. Multiple marriages were more of an Old Testament norm, and monogamy as we knew it, a New Testament refinement. (Islam is not really a good reference point. It’s a gross distortion in several ways.) Multiple wives would work in a heavily patriarchal society (hey, I thought our modern lefties hated that!) but could easily also lead to unnecessary jealousies.
I’d be more inclined to let the Mormons have their quasi-biblical way as part of the grand American compromise among Judeo-Christian adherents. And there are a number of Jews who would secretly like to jump on that bandwagon. This is a question of an explicitly Christian refinement versus leaving something that is fundamentally wicked in all ages. Sometimes for Christians to claim less may mean for them to influence more, since their manner of life, no longer always mandatory, will have a chance to shine as special.
Putting on my future speculative glasses, I think the demand for “gay marriage” could greatly diminish, if not disappear, in the face of a gospel revival. All pretense aside, “gay” is pretty miserable, and the forgiving, renewing grace of Christ is the only thing that can completely cut the Gordian knot of the shame dilemma such a person finds herself or himself in.
The slippery slope has begun. I always wondered what would follow gay marriage.
I can't see where this is going....not at all...(the protest has Soros written all over it.../s Polymorous gay households with mutiple homos intertwined during sex orgies. And they wonder why they have such a higher incidence of STDs.
Wives. Now available in stereo!
( not sure this is a selling feature )
Anyone having any doubts about the consequences of Polygamy for the children need to read this excellent book..ILLEGITIMATE by Brian Mackert, a man who was a son of Polygamy. I have met Brian and his story gives tremendous insight into the horrific problem for many of those involved in it. The psychological damage is painful even to read about. Sister Wives is a TV show. The realities are quite different. Read Mackert’s book for education and information.
This is the up-slope of the slip-n-slide. The next drop will be a doozy.
Obsess much?
For your interest.
I still have a problem with taxing marriage through licensing. Just as I have a problem with taxing food, clothes, medicine, and medical procedures. And I guess I could say that perhaps this is a state issue and not a federal issue just as transgender bathrooms should be a state issue and not a federal issue. The federal over-reach in many aspects of our lives is out of bounds with what the Constitution gives the federal government the authority to exercise.
But because I’m not an expert at constitutional law it’s just a gut feeling that I have concerning the boundaries that the federal government continually stretch outside of their defined constitutional authority.
Sorry. After 36 years of marriage.....I just don’t see a man being polygamous. Unless he is also masochistic.
TAX ‘EM!
Tax the polygamist wives for the abandonment of their male relatives. The social burden of abandoned sons, brothers & uncles, their stolen assets has a high cost.
TAX THE WIVES!
The whole thing goes against the Word. It continues to affirm Romans 1.
