Pope has a very keen way of identifying character-uplifting aspects to the Biblical narrative. But this excellent lesson is the first one in which he has not taken some issue in it to insert Catholic-held (but unacceptable to Biblicists) doctrine to mar the impact of his analyses.

I love the stories about Joseph, because he is the only major Biblical character about whom the Scripture has nothing negative to say, nothing at all, except the Messiah, that is.

And that is so striking that one ought, as Pope does, to go over anything about Joseph's life with a fine-toothed comb for any nugget of truth one might find to modify one's own approach to life.

Thank you for posting this article. I believe that it is worthy of copying and reviewing from time to time.
