They will not have to taste death UNTIL they see the Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.
So they died after they saw him transfigured then. According to your argument?
Instead of saying
“Truly I say to you, some of you will see the Son of Man coming into his kingdom before you have tasted death.”
Or “until after.”
The second sentence CLEARLY refers to the first sentence. They aren’t separate. They are both part of the same statement. Of what will happen immediately upon his return, and that some of his disciples will not taste death until they see the first part happen(which is the “Son of Man coming in His Kingdom.”)
So it stands to reason that some of the disciples don’t know what it’s like to die. Because they haven’t actually yet died.
Absolutely. They saw Christ in his kingdom in a vision. And then later they died. The ISV translates the verse:
(ISV) I tell you with certainty, some people standing here will not experience death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."
These disciples were the ONLY ones who did NOT have to die IN ORDER to see Christ coming in his kingdom.
So it stands to reason that some of the disciples dont know what its like to die. Because they havent actually yet died.
I'm not sure if this was being facetious in response to my post or if you mean it. If you mean it then
