Burke and Pell had vanished. A morning came, and they were missing from work: a few thoughtless people commented on their absence. On the next day nobody mentioned them. On the third day Winston went into the vestibule of the Records Department to look at the notice-board. One of the notices carried a printed list of the members of the Congregation, of whom Burke and Pell had been. It looked almost exactly as it had looked before – nothing had been crossed out – but it was two names shorter. It was enough. Burke and Pell had ceased to exist: they had never existed.

My Faith is informed by the Church’s triad of Scripture, Tradition and the Magisterium. The Vatican “comings and goings” influence that triad for better or worse. Since I am a catechist for confirmation teens the teachings of the Church are can be undermined and confused by the mixed signals coming our of “this” Vatican. Makes a challenging job harder not to mention the openings it gives to enemies of the Church to sow division within the ranks. As for my personal faith? It does not make one bit of difference. Hope this helps.

If it makes not one bit of difference to your faith, why would it engender problems for others? Jesus had to leave His Church to mere mortals like St. Peter, so He knew that there would ALWAYS be problems.

Since His Church has survived 2000 years of trials, tribulations, schisms, bad popes, saints/sinners, heresies and Protestants, why would THIS "tempest in a teapot" have ANY effect on the other 1.2 billion Catholics [or so] in the world?

Besides I seriously doubt if many teens could fathom the intricacies of the Vatican. Why would they care at all? THIS stuff if for the minds like yours, mine and others with an I.Q. of over 10.
Sink your teeth into that, o shark24.

The Bergoglio purge of orthodox prelates continues.

Thank you for your very informative response. Our Lord DOES indeed have things well in hand. We have our faith in Him and not in flesh.

Very well stated. All of Christendom is under attack. Part of that attack began in the late 40s with the formulation of the World Council of Churches. iI just sounded so good and idealistic on paper, and so many sincere and dedicated devout people poured their energy into its founding. However, it was a Trojan Horse leading to the apostasy we see in too many denominations.

I join in your prayers for the healing of our land and strengthening of our ties to our One God, our own Father.

You’re completely ignoring the eschatological scenarios we were warned about at Fatima, Akita, other apparitions, and probably the Third Secret (in detail). What you ate doing is engaging in the normalcy fallacy.

“Our Lord DOES indeed have things well in hand”

Yes, he does, by sending us chastisements such as this pope. Warning: some chastisements can be harmful to your health. See #29 also.

Looks like we no longer have that warm and fuzzy pope who loves everyone.

I think it is properly called the “Normalcy Bias”. It seems to be an American trait. A result of the public education system which is less interested in the Truth and more interested in producing compliance.
