And please note (since I'm sure it's so obvious I'm sure you won't figure it out on your own) my comment "[Catholic Caucus] is meaningless to you, right" is addressed to both parties.
You addressed me in your post #18. Martin Luther was a Catholic priest and he died as a Catholic. I made no mention of other religions.
you are a very mistaken soul to suddenly rise up and attack a neighbor who has done nothing to you or anyone else here.
it still appears you have simply misdirected your comment but if you insist you meant it, then all I choose to do is reprove you as we are taught and in the gentlest possible manner
i will not entertain this topic further at any event, especially since you have offered nothing whatsoever in your notes to me on this topic.
Please then consider your sitution as I am sure you would not wish anyone else to launch some sort of mean/unjustified broadside against you out of the clear Blue.
it is not a nice thing to do to another person, especially someone who’s done nothing to hurt you.
Consider, please, also what we are taught about such things, including for instance
Ephesians 4:25, Ex. 20.16, Pr. 19.5, and Pr. 19.9.
Go in peace and do not send me any further such epistles.
Thank you.
Keep the faith,
fhc
I think it’s ironic that any post that pertains to Francis is a Catholic Caucus. It’s like posting a thread on the Dalai Lama and labeling it a Catholic Caucus ;-)
Christ so often and so boldly condemns the Pharisees, because he reads their hearts and intentions; but we, who can only judge of overt actions, who cannot dive into the secrets of the heart, must never presume to call men's exterior good actions hypocrisy; but judge of men according as we see and know.
Francis said:
beneath rigidity there is something hidden about a persons life. Rigidity is not a gift of God. Meekness is; kindness is; benevolence is; forgiveness is. But rigidity is not! Beneath rigidity there is always something hidden, in many cases a double life; but there is also some sort of disease lingering there. How the rigid suffer: when they are sincere and they acknowledge this they suffer! Because they are unable to feel the freedom that Gods children feel; they do not know what it is like to walk in the Law of the Lord and they are not blessed. And they suffer so much! They seem good because they follow the Law; but beneath that there is something not so nice about them: either they are bad or they are hypocrites or they are ill. They suffer!
Personally, I think that oftentimes hypocrisy is mistaken for sinfulness. I believe most "rigid" folks are not hypocritical, but sinful.

Above is your comment to which I replied. Do try and keep up.
And in a like botherly spirit of reproof, I suggest that you find a tree to epistle beside in the future.
“What I mean is this: Individuals among you are saying, ‘I follow Paul,’ ‘I follow Apollos,’ ‘I follow Cephas,’ or ‘I follow Christ.’ Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into the name of Paul?”
- I Corinthians 1:12,13
