In what might be considered a strange sighting, the sudden appearance of a cross a few metres away from a mosque in Nasarawa threw residents into confusion. The Punch reports that residents of Assakio Development Area in Lafia were left awed by the strange sighting which has brought hundreds of people to the location to pray for forgiveness and blessing.

The cross which is the considered the symbol of Christianity was illuminated on the ground close to the mosque. Hajara Hussaini confirmed that she was the first to see the light in the shape of a cross on Wednesday, September 28 when her mother sent her on errand. Her mother, Matan Liman also confirmed the strange appearance and said her daughter was gripped in fear when she returned.

Muhammed Iliyasu who is the Chief Imam of Assakio Central Mosque said the sighting of the cross within the mosque premise confirmed that revelation was from God, affirming that “Jesus is also a prophet of God.”

Beinst the Muslims do not believe Jesus was crucified, and consider the crucifixion “story” to be a kuffar blasphemy, the imam’s statement was a remarkable instant adaptation.

Things that make you go “hmmm...”

surprised the imam used somewhat hopeful language (though many of us here believe Jesus is more than a prophet).

nothing about blasphemy and murder

Was it a cross or Crucifix? Big difference. What kind of miracle were the people asking for?

Pope Francis says Jesus pretended to angry in the temple with the money changers and he stated this about the Blessed Mother "Our Lady was human! And perhaps she even had the desire to say: ‘Lies! I was deceived!’

Things that make you go "hmmm..."

.
Jesus is THE REASON for having prophets.

This is where this is a false narrative.

The muslims recognize Christ as another prophet from Allah.

They recognize Muhammad as the Final prophet from Allah.

To the muslim, Christ is just another prophet.

You have to watch the terminology in these situations.

Allah means God in Islam.

However, for the Christian, we would not equate Allah and Jehovah to be the same. Allah is a false god.
