The absurdity of a group even calling itself “Catholics for Choice” is clear in the most casual reading about Catholicism.

I’m glad to hear that there’s backlash. I sure wish Evangelicals would take a stand...

And from the Archdiocese of Seattle? Chirp - chirp - chirp...

Most folks in the Archdiocese are good Democrats. 'Nuff said.

“The biggest falsehood in these advertisements is the statement that ‘as a Catholic’ a person can respect and support a decision to kill an unborn person,” Bishop Lopes said.

“The insinuation that Catholic faith can lead a person to sanction something which is always and everywhere a moral evil is fraudulent, deceitful, and simply wrong.”
Bishop Steven Lopes, Ordinary of the Personal Ordinariate of The Chair of St. Peter

Message to the Cardinals and Bishops: either excommunicate these heretics or don’t bother talking. They sound like Obama telling Assad that he drew a “red line”. Hollow words to sound as though you are doing something.

We already have taxpayer sponsored abortions. It’s called Planned Parenthood. Our government gives millions to it annually. Or is it billions?

Why bother being so up-front? Simply keep electing and supporting LEFTISTS and they’ll get everything they want.

Evangelicals have taken a stand.

They are one of the groups that most consistently vote for conservatives.

If we look at catholic voting patterns in presidential elections you will find the catholic vote has gone to the dimocrat too many times.

Because of the catholic vote we have Kennedy, LBJ, Clinton and Obama.

Yr D R
1952 56% 44%
1956 51% 49%
1960 78% 22% Kennedy
1964 76% 24% LBJ
1968 59% 33%
1972 48% 52%
1976 57% 41% Carter

Glad to see the outrage amongst the higher-ups. I wonder if the priests and bishops of these so-called Catholics for Choice - since these people are open about it - will do any kind of discipline or correction of their members?

Where on earth did they get the idea that abortion was a “Catholic social justice value”???

These people have already excommunicated themselves, as direct support of abortion in any way incurs an automatic excommunication according to Canon Law.

What needs to be done by the Ordinary is to announce this fact, rather than the “strongly worded” letters. Then a real conversation about whether or not one can be a “Catholic for Choice” can start. Unless people are educated about the ramifications, there will never be any fruitful dialog.
