Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass. And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: and he shall speak peace unto the heathen: and his dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth…When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. And the Lord shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. (Zechariah 9:9-14)
Zechariah’s prophecy goes from the humble first coming of King Jesus, lowly and meek bringing salvation while riding on a colt, in verse 9, to the victorious second coming of the Messiah, destroying the final attacking armies, and speaking peace to the nations and exercising his Lordly dominion from “sea to sea”, and to the ends of the earth.
But the Prophet then gives a detail of that last battle, which he saw primarily as being between the “sons of Zion”, i.e. Judah and Ephraim, and the “sons of Greece”. But the word “Greece” is literally the word Javan, who was one of Japheth’s sons and settled in a region which took it’s name from Javan, “Ionia” which is in North Eastern Turkey.
The regions in what we now know as Turkey; Ionia, Thrace, Mysia, Pontus, Bythinia, Lydia, Phrygia, and Cappadocia were indeed the Greek world in the time of the Apostles, as was the Greek peninsula and isles. The “Sons of Javan” hail from present day Turkey and play a key role in the final apocalyptic battle.
Ezekiel 38 confirms this also.
And the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the north quarters, and all his bands: and many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them.(Ezekiel 38:1-7)
A “Beast” coalition of nations has been summonsed, to come down against the “Mountains of Israel “(vs 8) in a day when they feel secure, to take a spoil.
Who are these nations?
The non Turkish part of the coalition is Persia (Iran), Ethiopia ( Sudan/Somalia), and Libya (North Africa).
Iran has been transformed over the last 40 years (as Turkey has) from a pro Western, somewhat modern leaning state, into the Shiite, Islamic nightmare Shariah state that it is today. Most recently due to the disastrous nuclear deal Obama has offered to Iran, it is also an aggressive,nuclear, apocalyptic State which has repeatedly vowed to destroy Israel.
Somalia is a failed State which hasn’t had a stable Government for twenty years or more, which has turned it into an Islamic Pirate staging ground, and a training center and rich recruitment grounds for Al Queda, Al Shabab, and ISIS as well as it’s own homegrown terror groups.
Sudan has suffered a disastrous two staged Civil War, from 1955-1972, and phase two broke out in 1983-2005, between the Arab North, predominantly Muslim and the South of Sudan predominantly black, Christian and animist.2 million people perished because of war and the famine and pestilence which followed it, and four million people have been displaced.
Libya was willing to co-operate with the West after 9-11,2001, voluntarily surrendering its Nuclear program and helping to pursue and arrest or kill Al Queda. But since the EU and Obama administration interfered took the side of Islamic terror against Gaddafi, undermining and leading to Gaddafi’s murder, the nation has become a nightmare state of Terrorism, and competing power struggling factions.
But most of the description of the coalition has to do with the Turkic people.
Gog is not an area but a person, it is a title, not a name. ‘Gog’ is the representative head of all of heathendom, united against God, like Agag or Pharaoh or Caesar.Gog could be Putin, or he may turn out to be Erdogan, but he is a definite individual, the visible face of the anti-God coalition.
Magog, Meshech, Tubal and Togarmah are all sons of Japheth, and they settled in Asia minor (Turkey). Javan also, mentioned in Zechariah 9 was a son of Japheth also. Gomer is also a son of Japheth who settled in Turkey and the Caucusus mountains and southwest of Asia. The “Stan” nations which broke away from the Russian Federation are all Turkic peoples, as are the Uygher people of China.
The “house of Togarmah” could include any or all of the following modern nations; Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan , Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan , Tatarstan and Kyrgyzstan.
What have these states all in common? Islam. Shiite Islam has been unleashed in Iran , turning a modern leaning state into a murderous, apocalyptically nihilistic, retrograde terror State.
Islam has destroyed Somalia and Sudan, with its constant bloodshed, hatred, and the poverty and ignorance which always increases to the extent that Islam is allowed to flourish.
Islam has destroyed the Maghreb,(North Africa). Yes the Western powers have foolishly destabilized the region for their own perverse reasons, nut Libya, Algeria and the rest of North Africa have been subject to the terror and chaos of Islamic hatred for centuries.
And finally Islam has been unleashed in Turkey, after a seventy year hiatus, and is driving this modern nation, with a world class military, towards the final confrontation, a war against Israel, and perhaps most importantly, with Israel’s God as prophesied by the Hebrew prophets.
Alas, the Ottoman Caliphate is upon us...
However much he has experienced with islam, he isn't a prophet.
Not saying Shoebat is wrong, just saying we need to test his pronouncements.
There is no doubt as to his fervor and his passion...and to his genuity (he means well). But he is a baby Christian...not a prophet.
Might Erdogan be the AC? Certainly.
Will we be told by our Lord?
Certainly.
How many of these Baby Boomers are union members who pay their dues to the RAT party as well as being told which party to vote for? Just asking..............

I agree Rooster- i don’t think I even cited a “prophecy” of SHoebats, just some of his observations and translations of Arabic media. I am not willing to say who the AntiChrist is,I don’t know but we will indeed know soon enough...
I was impressed with his point of view (which I presume comes from his deep understanding of islam), but there are occasions when I found he was using flimsy evidence to support some of his theories. If a reader didn't examine his evidence closely, they might not even notice and that left me feeling that he was "selling" his ideas more than just presenting them.
There's an old adage in business that says that the harder a person sells a product (hence "the hard sell"), the more worthless the product is.
As I have said previously, Shoebat seems genuine and knows an awful lot about islam...but there are little things here and there in his writings that raise questions.
Leaves me unsure of what to do with him and his theories.
I definitely don’t agree with all of his conclusions. I think the flimsiest is his teaching on the Mark of the beast. I am not even sure the AntiChrist will be a Muslim. But I have appreciated many of SHoebats insights into the Muslim world.
And though I'm not sure I agree with him (yet) about the AC being a muslim, it does make a lot of sense the way he explains it.
In fact, Turkey has the 8th best military out of the 126 countries ranked by GlobalFirepower.com.
Pastor Bill, that is one of the fact I learned from Shoebat that really surprised me.

As I said, I was shocked to learn how strong Turkey is militarily.
