"White Christian America is dying," proclaims the headline on a Monkey Cage blogpost by the perceptive political scientist John Sides. Like many headlines, it's an exaggeration of the thrust of the article that follows, which is an interview with Robert Jones, head of the Public Religion Research Institute, on his new book The End of White Christian America, based on PRRI and other research on religious beliefs and practices of Americans.
Sides's questions and Jones's answers are pretty much neutral in tone, but many readers will detect a tone of triumphalism in the book's title and in the thrust of its argument. You white Christians have been the majority for a long time, but it's not going to be your country any more — or so they seem to be saying. That's a variation on the message that demographic analysts like National Journal's Ron Brownstein have been delivering for some time. The percentage of voters classified as "white" has been declining and will continue to do so, to the extent that the Democratic party might emerge with a permanent electoral majority.
Some observations:
1. Predictions of inexorable political doom for one of our major political parties are likely to be wrong — as they have been since the demise of the Whigs in the middle 1850s. Politicians adapt to demographic change, new issues arise that divide voters in different ways, events change the political landscape. My observation is that voters who are self-consciously part of a demographic minority tend to vote more cohesively. Black Americans are the prime example, of course, and have been for the last 150 years, and for reasons every reader should find easy to understand. There are others: Catholics, according to Gallup, voted 78 percent for John Kennedy in 1960....

What a lot of these articles miss is the explosive growth of non-denominational evangelical churches, many of which meet in school cafeterias, movie theaters or other rented spaces, or meet in homes. Many don’t get picked up in the statistics because they are not part of a larger body. Also, many of them tend to be very multi-ethnic. That’s where a lot of the disaffected mainliners have gone, who are still serious Christ followers but have gotten disgusted with the denominational churches.
Lets make sure it’s the ruling elite and the media who go away.
Far from triumphalism, the ungodly should quake in their boots at the prospect of no Christians. In the Bible, the ungodly are spared God’s judgment because there is a contingent of the population who still believes in God. Get them out of the picture, and God can visit His judgment on the ungodly with no reservations.The account of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah comes to mind. “Be not deceived. I want to say this. Professional Christianity has brought this on their own heads. Sheeple sit there for an hour and listen to a rock band and pay the mortgage and the staff for their houses, cars and 401ks. What a racket. Jesus is the Son of God. I'm starting think that Russia may turn out to be the last bastion of Christianity. Or at least, the last culture that resembles a Christian culture in some ways.
Yes, abortion is tolerated in Russia, as an entrenched remnant of its communist past.
However Russians don't tolerate "gay" propaganda. Homosexuals aren't executed there, as they are in Islamic countries, but they're not allowed to flaunt their perverse practices publicly, e.g. in "gay pride" parades.

Here are my thoughts on this. I know you are already familiar with much of this but sometime we have to re-center, re-focus, and remember what we already know to understand that news articles like these are merely advertisements for what evil wants us to believe. Having said that, here goes...
Remember that Satan is the father of lies. He demoralizes his enemy so they will give up and lose hope by using deception and trickery. The media (distributor of news and propaganda or as George Orwell would refer to them - The Ministry of Truth in 1984) is one of his most effective tools Satan has because people believed that if the news media reports something it must be true. Maybe in the past but no more now that the radical left who are composed in large part of hedonistic heathens have taken over it and Hollywood. Saul Alinsky, one of Satan's disciples wrote Rules for Radicals which became the Left's manual for deception and manipulation. When I see articles like the one you posted I remember that the MSM also uses his same tactics. There are 13 rules that they use to manipulate societies using deception. Five of them are used continuously by the press and can be summarized as: 1) lie to the enemy to make them think you are more powerful than you are (i.e...atheism is taking over and Christianity is dying out), 2) poke fun at the Christians and belittle them anyway you can (which includes trolling), 3) keep doing it until you wear them out, 4) tell a lie enough and they will believe it (i.e...that Christianity is dying out and that gays make up 25 % of the population which is nowhere close but nearer to 2 - 3 % of the population), and 5) pick your target (Christians), focus on them, get pissed off at them, and attack them. The tactics employed by the left are all Satan inspired written by a man who dedicated his book (Rules for Radicals) to "Lucifer". I know you are aware of this but we have to keep reminding ourselves that the leftist news media follows rules written by a man who was a follower of Satan. Here's the specific rules for radicals that I see the MSM use all the time in one fashion or another:
1. Power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have.
5. Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
8. Keep the pressure on with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.
11. If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside.
13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
There's a reason that the Satanists and Muslims all hate Christians. Its because they worship different gods. Christians worship Yahweh and Jesus (who is the only true path to Heaven). Muslims worship Allah (Satan pretending to be God).
What I have seen with my own eyes the last 7 1/2 years is that there are more people turning to God. So who am I going to believe? My own eyes or the lies of the deceivers?
