Parish Secretaries Seem Like 'Disciples of Satan' [Pope]

His comments were contained in a transcript of the meeting released by the Vatican on Tuesday.

Unlike previous trips where the Pope has given public speeches upbraiding national hierarchies, Francis chose a closed-doors meeting with the 117-member bishops' conference in the Kraków cathedral. The released transcript is of the question-and-answer portion of the 90-minute meeting.

Answering a question from Polish Auxiliary Bishop Leszek Leszkiewicz on whether parishes are still the best way to reach people and on how to build up missionary zeal, the Pope stressed that the parish "is the house of the people of God" and must have its doors wide open to receive people.

But he warned: "There are parishes with parish secretaries who seem to be 'disciples of Satan' and scare people; parishes with closed doors," he said.

The highly anticipated meeting came at a time of reported disagreements within the Polish Church over certain aspects of the Pope's teaching, including his appeals for sheltering refugees.

Auxiliary Bishop Krzysztof Zadarko of Koszalin-Kolobrzeg asked the Pope not only how to help the large number of refugees coming into Europe, but how to overcome "the fear of a possible invasion or aggression that has paralysed society."

I’m a 3 time Grand Knight in the KOC and I beware “men of zeal”.

“There are parishes with parish secretaries who seem to be ‘disciples of Satan’ and scare people; parishes with closed doors,” he said.”

So Pope thinks those concerned about their culture and history of faith are Satan? The man is an open menace to Christendom.

Too blind with dillusional papal pride to see the hypocrisy and insults he utters daily:

Parish secretaries are probably the ones that have to tell folks that no, Catholics still don’t do ‘gay marriages’ or remarriage after civil divorces despite the Pope’s latest ‘mistakes on a plane’ outburst. You know, Ogres.

Given that there are hundreds of thousands of parish secretaries scattered throughout the world, it is at least possible that “some,” as in more than one, could be so classified, so it is hard to argue with the statement. It also seems hard to argue that it was a prudent statement to make.

Anyone who promotes Islam as a religion of peace is a disciple of Satan.
The fake Pope qualifies.

Parish secretaries may be the ones that say, No I can’t give you all of our money. because Pope Che needs a wall and a Pope Mobile and a plane, etc.

The beatings will continue until morale improves!

Thanks a lot your holiness, you’ve just smeared the thousands of people (generally women) who keep your show on the air. Good job, why don’t you go insult some orphans now?

Whereas Christians have always held that the poor and helpless should be welcomed and protected, this secular humanist seems to preach that violent and abusive young men, too cowardly to defend their homes, should be welcomed and nourished. Seems like a silly thing to say. I think the Christians have it right. I don’t know about this guy. He seems to be in it for the photo ops.

Those ‘parish secretaries’ are the ones they are talking about turning into Deacons.

Very good point, though I think that a number of bitter feminist theology professors would be first in line.

If I am in Poland and someone from Argentina tells me not to be afraid of invasion, I would kindly suggest that the person telling me not to fear invasion to hold that thought and come back after their mainland has been invaded and occupied by murderous world powers a few times, and no, the Falkland/Malvinas Islands don’t count.

No money goes from Catholic parishes to Rome or to the Pope.

The parish secretary usually reflects the attitude of the priest and the parish council. Not sure why the pope is picking on secretaries instead of the source of a “closed” parish, the pastor.

That’s it. That’s all that goes to Rome.

There are comments on FR now and then about how “I left the Catholic Church because I didn’t want my money going to buy golden robes for the Pope” or something like that. Assuming that the Pope gets a cut from every Sunday collection.

Is this guy just stirring the pot in order to distract ?

This thought occurs to me since I always think of Ubola doing that — who knows what is for itself or for distraction.

Because I heard on radio a deep kind of off-the-books guy saying specifically that the Oregon-LaVoyFinicum dustup was ordered for that purpose.
