Marking for later reading. Thanks for the post.

Eve was not there when Adam was told not to eat of the fruit. Adam was the only one who had been commanded by God.
The proof of this is what Eve answered to Satan. “We were told not to eat or touch the fruit”. God did not say that, Eve was repeating what Adam told her.
Adam, lied to Eve, misrepresented what God had said, allowed her to take the brunt of the Devil’s assault, then blamed her for the sin.
Adam was a pretty scummy guy.

Why is Original Sin Called the Sin of Adam?"Scripture says the woman was deceived. Adam was not. He sinned with his eyes wide open.

First, Who was Adam? God created Adam as first human being. Although Adam is created alone, he wanted a mate. Well God gave him Eve who could reproduce. Now I think this capability was God's idea, not Adam's, for God wanted to populate the earth. Why? Well God first made angels and they were both good and bad. There was a finite number of angels. But God also created a universe. Why? Is it the home for angels? Other life? God knows.
But God created man with choice, like the angels. Will man be like the angels? So I think 'sin' was known to God ahead of time, without interference with our free will. Adam's sin is the same as the Angel's sin. Adam's sin is the quest for power. It is the same as Lucifer's sin. Not Eve's sin, for she was Lucifer's temptation. But they are forever together, procreating what also may be a finite number of human beings, each choosing to accept God or to choose the fruitless quest to have the power of God. Ah but my puzzle, why did God create angels and humans with free will?

That picture of Adam and Eve at the beginning of the article probably does not accurately represent them. I doubt that they were pure white caucasians, especially if the Garden of Eden was anywhere near the Tigris and Euphrates rivers!!!
