Your statement rings a bell with me.

Both you and Ratzinger are doing a grave disservice to the unborn. I'm sure many babies would not have been aborted, if you and Ratzinger did not dismiss Limbo.

What about babies who die through miscarriage? Will you tell a faithful Roman Catholic mother who had a miscarriage her baby will never be in heaven with her? Who is doing the disservice here?

You seem to be saying that dogma should be formulated so as to manipulate stupid people into doing the right thing.

The notion that women who are about to murder their babies are concerned about Limbo is deranged.

No, I’m not. I’m actually agreeing with you against those who would do that.

See my post #43 on this thread.

And if you’re not even a Catholic, why do you care?

Both Catholic doctrine and dogma are meant for all men; not just Catholics, and not just for “smart” Catholics. If what you call stupid Catholics don’t understand Catholic doctrine as well as they should, it is beholden to more “intelligent” Catholics such as Catholic priests and popes to teach and fortify that very same doctrine, unaltered, to the less fortunate.

Uh...maybe because you say stuff like:

Both Catholic doctrine and dogma are meant for all men

According to the Alan Guttmacher Institute, which tracks reproductive health data, non-Hispanic Catholic women of childbearing age are 29% more likely than their Protestant counterparts to have abortions (full study*). The rate is even higher—33%—if Hispanics are factored in. Another way of looking at it: while Protestant women make up about 54% of the population, they account for only 37% of the abortions. Catholic women make up 31% of the population and account for 31% of the abortions.

That advice applies to you. Please consider it before you continue to give heretical advice to Catholics.

Take your OWN advice. I’m no longer a Catholic.

If you are a baptized Catholic — you are always a Catholic. That mark is still on your soul.

You are just an inactive Catholic...that’s all.

Funny...the Muslims say the same thing.

However...you cannot make “indelible” marks on someone’s soul. Only God can do that. And I became His born again child the day I placed my faith in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Lord. Now THAT is the mark that can never be erased. It made me His sheep and I hear HIS voice and HIM only do I follow. Catholicism has no claim nor hold on me. Deal with it!

I already knew that. It’s been very obvious for a long time. So why don’t you stop pretending you’re interested in Catholicism and stop giving advice to Catholics as if you were one of us?

Why don't you and Salvation sync up a little? She insists that because I was baptized a Catholic as a baby I am still a Catholic. You deny it. Which one of you is right?

Also, if you don't want others to comment on threads you post don't make them OPEN Religion Forum ones. You should also refrain from your bashing of Protestants, the Reformation, Martin Luther, etc. Do you not understand yet that doing so is INVITING us to comment? You should stop trying to give advice to non-Catholic Christians - some Catholics as well since you attack them pretty regularly, too. Maybe you need a Sedavacanist Caucus?

Brevity and wit are the core attributes necessary to engage and persuade any reader. This interminable 20 paragraph run on sentence has neither.
* Socialism is a secular heresy, whose catalyst was the Industrial Revolution and was focused on material gain in this world.
* The Church of Rome is a 2000 year old religious institution focused on faith and morals as the key to spiritual development; to advance to the other world.
Neither have anything in common.
This Pope grew up in Buenos Aires during the era of Juan Peron, another radical Latin. Additionally he is a Jesuit. Both account for his leftist politics and economic illiteracy. He will never be conflated w/the likes of Aquinas or Ockham; and more importantly, he will be gone soon enough.
