Reading these verses, and celebrating the wonderful and covenant gift of the FATHER, and the PROMISE of CHRIST, of the HOLY SPIRIT, it brought back memories of an old song I sung as a child. Found myself singing it all day, and now in prayer.
Spirit of God in the clear running water ~ Blowing to greatness the trees on the hill. Spirit of God in the finger of water ~ Fill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will. Blow, blow, blow till I be but the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
Dawn in the meadows the willows are moaning ~ Sheep in the pastureland cannot lie still. Spirit of God, creation is groaning ~ Fill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will. Blow, blow, blow till I be but the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
Spirit of God every man's heart is lonely ~ Watching and waiting and hungry until. Spirit of God, man longs that you only ~ Fulfill the earth, bring it to birth, and blow where you will. Blow, blow, blow till I be but the breath of the Spirit blowing in me.
FATHER…YOU in habit the praise of YOUR PEOPLE, and LORD, we long to hear YOUR PRAISE throughout our LAND. We are weary and tired of hearing the voices of the enemy, spiritually, physically, politically, mentally, socially. OH GOD…We know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until the present time. Not only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. Romans 8:22-23
We look to the GLORY OF HEAVEN through the our eyes of FAITH HOPE and LOVE, and we know that we will one day REJOICE ETERNALLY in YOUR HOLY GOODNESS, PURITY, GRACE and LOVE. Hallelujah! We THANK YOU DEAR HOLY SPIRIT, for breathing this very LIFE STREAM OF PRAISE AND THANKSGIVING in US, THROUGH CHRIST OUR LORD. TO HIM BE THE GLORY FOREVER AND EVER.
Dear LORD, we pray over our dear sons and daughters, husbands and wives, who are faced fully with this present evil that longs to rob us of all freedoms…BUT THANKS BE TO GOD, that THOSE IN CHRIST are FREE, and IF THE SON HAS MADE THEM FREE, they are free indeed. AND NOTHING AND NO ONE CAN SNATCH THEM FROM HIS HAND. So we ask for this days MERCY and GRACE to shield, protect, encourage, strengthen, and make steadfast all that they do. And LORD, for those dear soldiers who are apart from GRACE, may they not find rest until they are resting in YOU. AMEN.
Once again, we sing an old chorus to YOU, Dear HOLY AND RIGHTEOUS AND LOVING GOD, as we PRAY IN JESUS NAME, and THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH: Spirit of God, man longs that you only, Fill the earth, bring it to birth and blow where YOU will; blow, blow, blow till I be but the breath of the SPIRIT blowing in me. ~ so very Amen
