SUMNER HILL—Anne Fowler, who has been at the helm of St. John’s Episcopal Church at 1 Roanoke Ave. for two decades and was part of the effort to legalize gay marriage in the state, stepped away as rector last month.
“I have loved my years here, and leave this very special community with profound sorrow, gratitude and love,” said Fowler, who is retiring at the same time as her husband Sam Allen, a professor at MIT.

Strange, I haven’t found one photo with her husband and/or daughter. Maybe I have to search Planned Parenthood or gay marriage to get her with them. /s

Fowler’s decision was not centered in reality. She could have opted to do online studies during the semester of her child’s birth and her recovery. She could have used the same daycare that her first child attended. It would have involved some problem-solving skills but developing those is a useful thing for a priest. I feel very sorry for her that she has no regrets for what she did. Something is sadly missing in her spiritual development that all of her seminary studies did not give her.

They had one of their girl group things at the Brentwood macmansion of an Alabama girl in the group and her husband who was a motivational speaker
Well Becca really showed her ass criticizing the girl for having too big a home and left her in tears
I knew and liked the girl who was from Alabama...blonde and pretty
It split and killed the group about the time I moved on to start a family with another Nsshville beauty who was more like us on free republic
I hear Becca moved on to big donors like the Briggs girls and Ingrahams and Curreys and her main sponsor Bruce Dobies wife
We belonged to a swim club they all hung out at in early 2000s
We left Green Hills 7 years ago for rural Wiiliamson and never looked back

The woman in their group I loved was a great woman....one of the finest I ever knew....she passed away pancreatic cancer mid 50s couple of years ago
