Mother Angelica, the Franciscan nun known for her zeal and feistiness in regards to spreading the faith is on a feeding tube and her overall health is declining according to the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery Family Newsletter, see link below in the sources. Mother founded the Eternal World Television Network in 1981 which has helped millions around the world learn the faith and brought many more back to the Catholic Church. She has been a blessing for the Church despite being attacked by Cardinal Mahony and others who felt she overstepped her role as a religious nun.

Since our last update, Mother Angelica’s condition has declined, and it became necessary to put her on a feeding tube. The good part is that she now receives the necessary nutrients she needs. There were some up and down moments, and Mother has suffered a great deal these past months. She is quite a trouper. God has gifted Mother with much suffering during her life which she has always accepted, living out her motto “Totus Jesu” - All for Jesus.
Recently, a Mother Superior wrote this to her: “I believe only in Heaven will you finally realize all the GOOD your loving labor for God and His people have done for us all.” Please keep Mother in your prayers as she continues to give her all to Jesus.
I remember a year or two ago sitting in my car in a parking lot wrestling with the proverbial guilt over something long ago. I happened to be listening to a rerun of one of Mother Angelica’s shows on satellite radio. She told a story about a similar time in her life and how God addressed her concern. I can still hear her voice. It helped me immensely.

Stretch forth Your hand that is full of healing and health, and get her up from her bed, and cure her of her illness. Put away from her the spirit of disease and of every malady, pain and fever to which she is bound; and if she has sins and transgressions, grant to her remission and forgiveness, in that You love mankind; yea, Lord my God, pity Your creation, through the compassions of Your Only-Begotten Son, together with Your All-Holy, Good and Life-creating Spirit, with Whom You are blessed, both now and ever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Amen.
Mercy, Lord. Dear Mother, in her relentless obedience to our Lord, changed LIVES!

I became an “EWTN” Catholic, to convert in 2000-01 through the miracle of our Lord. A Catholic convert from charismatic Protestantism, and from a renown pastor, huge congregation, TV, and all the trimmings.
Thanks be to God for dearest Mother Angelica. Love and prayers for her sweet heart and her mighty evangelistic spirit.
Her suffering joined to Christ’s, and the prayers of her and her cloister has saved this country from worse befalling it than now, and praise God, may help us see to repent and stand humbly but determinedly in her example for Christ anew as she examples so beautifully.

Her biography is a must read. Her life was all about stepping out in faith, over and over again.
Mother Angelica’s show was one of the first steps I took towards Catholicism. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
