Glad you are OK.
I will have to say there's nothing more masculine then a Man of God on bended knee before God.....
Washington at Valley Forge....
Yes, of course, I am not talking about men who refuse to take any responsibility for anything in their lives. There are those kinds of guys too. I am referring to men who would love to be men and let women be women. Many of us just grow weary of the war on men. I don’t think there should be any war on anyone, men or women. The leftist anti God forces are behind much it it. Maybe not all of it, but much of it. Remember however, a woman never needs to worry about being submissive to a man who loves the ground she walks on. He will always treat her well.
You are absolutely correct on that, sister.
I agree 100%
When a man holds the door for me when I’m out an about, I ALWAYS make it a point of looking him in the eye and THANKING him.
By the way, I guess Jim Otto is still around, though I don’t know if he still has any Burger King restaurants in Northern California anymore.
As is my wife - one of her favorite sets of verses as far as husbands and wives is Ephesians 5:22-33
22 Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her 26 to make her holy, cleansing[a] her by the washing with water through the word, 27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 28 In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. 29 After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church 30 for we are members of his body. 31 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.[b] 32 This is a profound mysterybut I am talking about Christ and the church. 33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
One of the things about these verses is that it makes an obvious distinction between a man and a woman when it tells each to do what the other is more prone to do, and value, by nature - it tells women to respect and men to love.
Good article. The Deacon has also spoken in Charlotte.
I like the fact that his perspective seems to be, “What do I need to do? How can I make things better?” rather than, “Whom can I blame?”
Long before I met my wife I dated a girl that used to race to the door to hold it open for me. we went on exactly 2 dates. My wife and I have now been married for just over 29 years. You can probably count on one hand the times I failed to hold a door for her. I also walk on the outside when we walk down the street. And enter the restaurant/ movie theater before her (Terra incognito). My daddy raised me right.
