Cotonou, Benin, Sep 1, 2015 / 06:15 am (CNA/EWTN News).- The African cardinal who heads the Vaticans Congregation for Divine Worship has high hopes for the Church on his continent he believes that it can bring about the renewal of the family across the globe.
I have absolute confidence in African culture, Cardinal Robert Sarah told the Catholic weekly La Croix du Benin.
I have absolute confidence in the faith of the African people, and I am sure Africa will save the family. Africa saved the Holy Family (during the Flight to Egypt) and in these modern times Africa will also save the human family, the cardinal said Aug. 19 during a national Marian pilgrimage at Dassa-Zoumè.
Originally from Guinea, Cardinal Sarah chose be in Benin, one of the countries of his native Africa, during the launch of his new interview book in Rome.

Correction:
The Christian faith is growing bigtime in Africa.
All they do is plant the seeds for new Christian believers.
Muslims are loosing ground in Africa. And remember this, China really wants Africa and they have been having massive issues with random muslim attacks. They also have no issue with killing people.
+1
Okay.
But I stand by my prediction.
I'd be careful about sending Africans to save the family in the United States, though. Their proud African-American "brothers and sisters" are down with the struggle for "gay rights" and won't want a bunch of "uncle toms" mucking things up.
Oh, and many "conservatives" won't welcome the idea that basic morality is universal instead of the product of "White Northwestern European Man."
From their lips to God’s ears. And on to all the other Bishops.
Pray for the family.
Are you sure about that?
There are many, many conservative folks over there as well.
Yet Philip Jenkins have the facts to back him up.
The Christian faith is growing in China.
Mr Jenkins has facts on what Africa will be like in 25-30 years. Really?
Does the government know he is in possession of a time machine?
I'm not surprised, what the the improvement in nutrition and all.
He has authored a number of books.
