Facts don’t matter to liberals. Obama will still tell us to get off our high horse because of what happened in medieval Europe. And then draw false equivalence with Muslim terror today. Although Obama can’t bring himself to talk about Islamic terror, so not sure why we have to get off the high horse.

Its most startling conclusion is that the Inquisition was not so bad after all. Torture was rare and only about 1 percent of those brought before the Spanish Inquisition were actually executed.
Why did the one true church need to torture anyone?
Why did "about 1 percent" have to be executed by the one true church?
To: Resettozero
Church didn’t torture anyone. Secular authorities did.

Same for executions. The Inquisition turned them over to the authorities for execution.

Good to hear that the Catholic church was not behind the Spanish Inquisition; it was somebody else in secular government.

He says an insult every day, hard to keep up with them all!

Yes, the same way the Sanhedrin turned Jesus over to the Romans for execution.

I’m not in error. I belong to the One, True Church.
You don’t.

It would be fun and informative to compile the nonsense coming out of the mouth of Obama.
Two favorites off the top of my head:
1. “The governor of a state on fire denies global warming.” Obama said this during a terrible fire season in Texas a few years ago. Rather than offering any assistance to Rick Perry, or any sympathy for the victims of the fires, he got on his high horse to say that Rick Perry denies global warming. The implication being that Texas deserves to burn because their governor doesn’t believe in global warming.
2. “The Republicans solution to illegal immigration is a moat at the border, a moat with alligators in it”. I know this is Alinksy horse blank, but comments such as this hardly advance the political discourse on what we should do about illegal aliens. And it’s also untrue. Nobody wants a moat at the border, but he states as fact that this is the GOP party line on the issue.
If I had more time, I might research and self publish a book of the nonsense of Obama.

Another Spanish Inquisition thread. Who would have expected that?
To: Larry Lucido
Only posted it to set the record straight. Article came from the National Review. You can’t get anymore conservative than that.

If even one person is raped, tortured, or murdered under the orders, authority, or request of any denomination, they clearly do not understand God’s Word.
