The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that East Texas Baptist University, Westminster Theological Seminary, the Catholic Diocese of Beaumont, and Catholic Charities of Southeast Texas are not exempt from cooperation with the HHS mandate.
We join our sister circuits in concluding that the plaintiffs have not shown a substantial burden on their religious exercise, the court ruled.
No surprise. What about the muslims?
WTF!?
Bound for the Supreme Court?
So a religious college, a religious seminary, a religious diocese, and a religious outreach aren’t burdened by being forced by the government to violate their beliefs and risk damnation by God.
Glad the court cleared that up. Wonder if those judges will explain all this to Our Eternal Judge when we have to answer?
Churches must perform homosexual weddings and no more sermons against homosexuality.
Well as much as I dislike this if Catholic Charities had partnered with organizations that operated totally in opposition to Catholic teaching (which I understand has happened often enough) then to suddenly discover their impeccable loyalty to those teachings this late in the day reeks of “too little, too late.”
