God has given you a prescription for healing. And you receiving healing is in your obedience. Proverbs 4:20-22 God is laying out how to take his word to receive healing. Notice, in verse 22 it says his word is life unto those that find them and health(medicine) to all their flesh. Your spirit has influence over your flesh it has the ability to keep you sick or bring healing (Proverbs 18:14 & 17:22). In Proverbs 14:30 it says, "A sound heart(spirit) is the life of the flesh", the life of your flesh is in your spirit. The flesh has no life in it of itself, when the spirit leaves the body the flesh can do nothing. So, the spirit gives life to your flesh. Here's how it works the life in the word is imparted to your spirit and your spirit imparts that life to your flesh.
We see this in the case of God changing Abram's and Sarai's names to Abraham and Sarah. God told Abram he would be the father of many nations and his wife would be the mother of many nations. And their name change was according to the word God told him-Abraham(Father of a great multitude) and Sarah(Mother of the multitude). Notice how this account is described in Romans 4:19, "And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now being dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb." Notice, his body now being dead and the deadness of Sarah's womb, but the word of God is life and health. Every time they said or heard their names that word was going down into their spirit (Romans 10:8,17). And the life in the word was imparted to their spirit and their spirit imparted that life to their flesh and it chased out all death.
Any time God gives instructions your receiving is in your obedience. For example in Numbers 21:8,9- And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and put it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived. Notice once the instruction was given it was up to them to obey. Notice again in 2Kings 5:10-14 Elisha told Naaman to go dip 7 times in the Jordon River, but he became angry at those instructions and went away in a rage, but one of his servants convinced him to do what the man of God said. And in verse 14, Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordon, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean. Notice he could have gone back home not healed when healing was as simple as following the man of God instructions. How about Jesus in Mark chapter 2, he was teaching in a house and there was no more room and a man sick of the palsy was brought there by four of his friends. And they took him up on the roof and lowered him down to Jesus and he said to the man, "Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house." And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all. The man knowing better than all that he was unable to walk and yet Jesus instructions which may have seemed foolish to some was actually his way out. And his instructions to you is your way out. Jesus mother's advice is the most appropriate for any situation, John 2:5, "Whatsoever he saith unto you do it." So, whatever God instructs you to do just do it.

God gives grace so that we may learn to obey. None of us is capable of the kind of obedience that a perfected saint can render.
If that mattered, nobody could be saved.

If you want to hear God, you have to make your best effort to follow his commandments. It’s difficult, but I am trying.
James tells us if we break one of the commandments we have broken them all .. so we are all murderers , liars, coveters etc... The commandments were given to show us that we can never save ourselves.. they were given to show us that we needed a Savior..
