Interesting insight, and I think right on the money. I think their profound narcissism also plays into it. They really WANT to have sex with themselves, and in homosexuality, they do the next best thing: Have sex with someone who looks just like themselves.

The clue in this writing is the description of how she enjoyed the company of women, the nesting, the domesticity…maybe our young women are not being encouraged to have girly-style friendships? Girls need girlfriends, who are NOT lovers.
It's so screwy now. You can't even have a dear girlfriend whose company you enjoy without someone thinking you're a lesbian...
yes, I understand....most guys like to go hunting together, but are not interested in sex with each other....this modern concept that sex first; talk later isn’t really working out, except in the porn movies....women like the company of gay males because they aren’t pushing them into sex...
I recall meeting this rather sexual lady, who said, why are men always pushing me for sex, shortly after that she died of breast cancer....not that the two are related.
