Scripture is clear on the qualifications for elder and deacon, and he does not meet them.
He has disqualified himself from leadership position with that behavior and should have stepped down. When he didn’t, he should have been removed.

I worked with a poor black women who would give nearly all her money to this conman. It drove her friends crazy, but she had “faith”.

The idiots that fill the pews or voting booths are living vicariously through their corrupt demagogues.
It's one kind of stupid when the people follow leaders who at least pretend to be living lives as austere as the people they claim to represent. If/when the people find out that their leaders are only dressing like peasants in public, but dining like kings in private, then there is a chance of a revolutionary overthrow.
But when the idiots know that their leaders are taking advantage of them and they start to canonize them like Evita or Huey or Obama then there is no amount of corruption private or public that can cause the people to wake up and throw the bums out.
Prosperity Gospel is pure unadulterated heresy.
I did not know that John 10:10 was a pure heresy. By the way, this is one of the main reasons why Christianity is growing in the third world, especially among the poor and the ambitious -— promise of riches (all types) and the living proof of the West being richest in all of human history.
