LDS Church Wants Mormons' Opinion About Temple Garments [Give Mormon church underwear feedback]
MidUtahRadio.com ^ | Feb. 3. 2015 | Doug Staples

The LDS Church is asking for Mormons to weigh in about Temple garments. LDS officials are requesting public comments about the fit, fabric, size and style in an effort to propose changes and improvements. The move comes after last year when the Utah-based faith posted photos and videos of the misunderstood clothing to explain them to so-called gawkers.

Was this dreamed up by some Mormon elder to make money?

Well, it is true that if you're going to buy Mormon temple garments, guess which entity has a monopoly on selling them?

(Hey, I didn’t initiate/generate the article...and even then, it wouldn’t have been generated unless the Mormon Church invited feedback this February...you going to be providing some feedback to the Mormon Church on this topic?)

I’ll give them feedback. The women should shop at Victoria’s Secret.

They want feedback from other Mormons and I'm not Mormon. And, I have no interest in critiquing Mormon religious practices. It harms no one, why make an issue out of it by bringing it here? It's none of my business, and I assume, none of yours.

Mormons walk around church/temple in their underwear?

I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing. Odd? Yes.

Do you have any evidence of this practice, say, photos of Mormons actually wearing their temple garments ... for those of us gawkers of the jury to consider?

As foreman, I’m sure I speak for the others in requesting only evidence showing young ladies with shapely badunka dunkas.
Snap to it.

Christian churches have no secret ceremonies.

The Mormon religion is like the Scientology...surrounded by secrets.

...I have no interest in critiquing Mormon religious practices. It harms no one, why make an issue out of it by bringing it here?

(Yet, apparently you have an interest in mildly critiquing my religious expressions...)

(Hmm...interesting dichotomy there)

It's none of my business, and I assume, none of yours.

And yet you also assume that it's your business to take an active "business interest" in in religious content I post. Why? If Mormons' religious expressions are NONE of your business, why are my religious expressions SOME of your business?

Apparently you have a double-standard...

(Otherwise referenced as religious hypocrisy)

May I suggest a more consistent course on your part?

Like...

If you're going to preach "mind your own religious business" from your pulpit, better start practicing it -- and never you mind then about what I post or don't post...or issuing sermons about what religious interest I should or shouldn't have...
...& what religious expressions I should or shouldn't express...

...I have no interest in critiquing Mormon religious practices. It harms no one...

This assumes a couple of things...

One...that you have ALL knowledge of ALL ex-Mormons' testimonies, and that they ALL line up 100% percent behind your assumption...

Two...that you have universal knowledge tantamount to the level of God, Himself...that you have scanned the universal knowledge bank...and concluded that "Nope...No spiritual harm here...move along now."

For some reason, I doubt you have "Omniscience" written as a keyword on your resume'...

No but you've got to admit, it sure is a way to build your "network" of non-Mormons, who need "discipling."

Now they know who and how to locate you, don't they?

Nothing wrong with being exposed to truth, is there?

And rather than take anything from me on the matter, just ask some of the ex-Lds FREEPERs who came to Lds threads 2008 on ... who have since exited Mormondom -- are now ex-Mormons -- and are worshiping in Christian churches...

(Or are you anti-discipling?)

Mormons wearing ritual garments does "spiritual harm?" Oh my god. You really are a sick little boy.

I'm all for "exposing the truth," speaking as one who had it brought to light for me.

I wasn't complaining nor "discipling for the LDS, merely pointing out that if one wasn't a Mormon, asking people to answer or make comments about "temple garments" was a very good marketing tool for the LDS church, if they were building a list of non-Mormons and how to locate them. Or as my husband who is in sales likes to say, this is "target marketing."

PS I've definitely been to the former LDS sites, it's quite an eye-opener for those interested in finding the truth.

I only wish some in my family would make their way to these sites.
