But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

Oh! Father God! What a salvation You have given us through Your amazing love! Putting words to our heart of thanksgiving is so difficult, so I can just say, “Thank You and I love You”.

You have made us alive to You and raised us up together with You…just because You love mankind. Awesome. As we come to You today in prayer, we direct our attention to Your love and ask You to manifest that love in the lives of our military men and women, those in authority and our enemies. With Your heart, we cry to You for salvations! Pour out of Your Spirit a revelation of the height, depth, breadth and length of Your love. Who can resist You if he knows how wonderful You are? Send Your Word and confirm that Word in each heart, Sir.

Protect each person in harm’s way and give wisdom and direction to leaders.

We ask You on the basis of Your grace and mercy alone for people who hear Your voice to be called into positions of public service. Give them the courage to slice and dice this Government (which many have made god) into its proper size and function.

We pray in the name of Jesus and agree with our “Amen”.

You are right, CyberAnt. The modern church rarely preaches the full measure of salvation, but rather the narrow interpretation of simply the payment for sin. Christ paid the price for so much more for each of us.
