When the sweet, green icing is flowing down in the rain, the only thing that remains intact are the strawberries.

As long as you have the intact strawberries, perhaps you will have that recipe again, although it took so long to bake it and you thought that you’ll never have that recipe again.

Or a third option, being the Pope is fluent in both Spanish and Italian, and that he has never apologized in the past for any of his (unofficial) heretical pronouncements:

"And Holy Mary, the Mother of Christ, how vocal was she at giving her "unique insights"?"

Not as much as a professional theologian of either sex, I'm sure. But since that wasn't her role, I don't see what it has to do with this article.

Wow! At some point, it’s time to leave behind what you perceived as slights when you were young. The wisdom of age and all that....

Usually, the universities that they teach at, or they receive royalties from the books they write or from speaking engagements. A perfectly honorable way to earn a living.

Again, this doesn't have anything to do with the article. You obviously are getting at something, but I don't have time to indulge you. I hope you have a nice evening. :)

Pope was not intending to be condescending or insulting by this term.

Really, he can't help himself. It's a Catholic thing. Hardwired to perceive women as inferior.

A Feminist Voice on the Theological Commission: Q&A with Sister Prudence Allen RSM

“Sister Mary Prudence Allen, R.S.M., is an American Catholic philosopher and member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan. A member of the Catholic chaplaincy team at Lancaster University in England since November 2013, Sister Prudence was previously chair of the philosophy department at St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver. She received her Ph.D. in philosophy from Claremont Graduate School of California in 1967.

Born as Christine Hope Allen in Oneida, New York, Sister Prudence’s family descends from a 19th century utopian religious community. She converted to Catholicism in 1964 and married in 1965, raising two sons and teaching university philosophy. Her marriage was annulled in 1972 and she joined the U.S. Mercy sisters in 1983.

Sister Prudence’s work focuses in particular on women philosophers and on the philosophical concept of womanhood. Her first major book “The Concept of Woman: The Aristotelian Revolution (750 BC- 1250 AD)” was published in 1985, with a new edition in 1997 and two sequel volumes on the historically evolving concept of womanhood being released in 2002 and 2012. She has written one other book and dozens of academic journal articles.”

Mary is thus the icon of the Church who, eagerly awaiting her Lord, progresses day after day in her understanding of the faith, thanks also to the patient work of men and women theologians. May Our Lady, the teacher of true theology, obtain for us, by her maternal prayer, that our charity “may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment”

So Mary has replaced the Holy Spirit now it seems. If I recall the Holy Spirit is our Helper...oh yeah...Jesus noted this also in John 14:26.

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you."

In addition, she has another false man-made title...."Our Lady." Again...no where is this mentioned in the Bible.

No Mary worship going on here. Ignore the man behind the curtain.

The cult of Rome continues to elevate Mary. Pretty soon Jesus will be an afterthought.

No Mary worship going on here.

Nope, none going on. I recommend you read up on latria, hyperdulia and duila; and get up to speed on those whom you attack.

made up nonsense by the catholic church in a very poor attempt to justify Mary worship.

Love how you completely ignore what the pope said about Mary being the "teacher of true theology" in contradiction to the Bible.

John 16:13

13“But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. 14“He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you."

You guys are doing pretty good. Pretty soon the catholic church won't need Jesus either. You've already replaced the Holy Spirit. It's just a matter of time before the final false teaching on Mary is approved by the catholic cult and that would be making her a redeemer like Christ able to forgive sins and save mankind.

And continue to ignore the contradictory and false statements of your "church". This is a typical catholic dodge I have noticed on this board.

When confronted with Scripture that shows catholicism is wrong, catholics go for the dodge!

The Truth continues to be sharper than any two edged sword.

So why don't you accept the Truth, rather than attacking it?

Again, ignore the quote by the pope and the contradiction of Scripture.

Is this really the best you've got??
